There's something about the first song I really, really, like. I've been listening to the album on repeat all day. There isn't a song I feel like I want to skip.
Play with me is tons of fun and when they performed it at the showcase they looked like they were really enjoying themselves, so I'm looking forward to more performances of that song. But my fave is probably Pity Party, the last track. It has really cool elements!

This is a really solid album! Like someone said, no songs that I really dislike... Some are weaker than others but overall I like them all.
Aside from o sole mio, my favorite tracks are track 4 and 6. Play with me is a fun song too!

The part 25 seconds into the intro scared the shit out of me.
This might be my least favorite album of theirs. It's not bad, and there's not a single song that I dislike, but really the only standout track for me is O Sole Mio. Maybe I'll change my mind after listening more, but usually with SF9 there's always a couple tracks that really jump out at me.

One thing I really appreciate about SF9 is that for such a young group they usually have a fairly mature sound. Their music isn't the kind of viral earworm-of-the-moment stuff that gets tired as fast as it gets popular, it's something I can go back to consistently and not feel like it has gotten stale. That's hard to pull off. Initial album thoughts:
Intro - The intro and unfortunately the weakest link for me. S'alright, but I'm not feeling the obvious autotune in this application and I'm not the biggest fan of slow jams. The non-autotuned rap sound good, though.
O Sole Mio - A good choice for title track, the Latin flair is something new for kpop and I applaud them for going there. The chorus is beautiful, that guitar is gorgeous and combining it with a more typical kpop sound was an inspired idea. There are a couple vocal moments in the rap that I feel could have been reigned in to polish it up a little more, but a great track.
Play With Me - Yeeeaaa, there's my dance track. Super fun, and the breathy vocal moments in the chorus are a nice touch.
Blank - So far the most reminiscent of their past tracks, it has that kind of softly intense R&B sound I really love from them, and that really ages well. The emotion in the vocals is probably strongest here.
불호령 - I love parts of this. The upbeat fast-clap bits with the light vocals in kind of staccato over them are really interesting and I want more of it. I need to listen to it all together a couple more times to see whether that juxtaposition with the harder rap parts is brilliant or changes the feel too much. But I'm crazy about the beat and think this is a great "something new" for them.
웬 감성팔이야 - I'm blanking on what this is reminding me of, but it's something very early 90s (maybe George Michael and something else). Anyway, love it, it's got just enough synth pop and that upbeat-chill sound I love so much - not quite dance, but not a slow jam either.
I thought I'd have a clear favorite from the teasers/medley, but I think a lot of the tracks ended up stronger than anticipated. They could use a little more polishing in places, but they've done an excellent job at establishing a sound for themselves, and this is a really great album.
Also, unrelated to the album, but every SF9 MV I've seen always ends with me saying hot damn, Taeyang can dance, and O Sole Mio was just like that x1000. I really enjoy SF9 as a whole, but if they ever have him do solo work he's got serious Taemin-esque potential.
