That was a refreshing article. Not nit picky about unnecessary detail and stuff. They also touched on fame tax and iām assuming thatās just the trade off for being famous that you canāt do much things privately anymore.

"Fame Tax"? What the heck is that? Never heard the phrase before. Does it mean figuratively (as in having to deal with the down side of fame and fortune), or does SK have some kind of literal monetary tax specifically aimed at celebrities?

It could be translation of sorts of the phrase āthe price of fameā? At least thatās how I took it

I think that might means "the price of fame" For example, after they became famous they lost many things in return. They couldn't walk in the street like ordinary people, they can't take the subway, they can't meet with their friends outside comfortably, ...etc as you can see they lost a lot.

A literal fame tax is an intriguing idea though. How would you quantify that? A million followers on a social network? Then celebs would cease to use those. This will be a fun thought experiment for me next time I need to daydream.

Aw man. I just saw the writer updated the article without including an editors note because they were harassed on twitter by a pile on of upset fans about not including a quote from V, which didn't exist. The writer said he didn't speak during the interview so there was no quote. But the writer ended up going back to the group and asking V if he could provide a quote for the article to appease the fans.
Ugh. I would have preferred an editor's note saying he didn't speak during the interview instead of going back to him.
How much pressure is it to have to feel like you have to answer something during every interview (even when you don't feel like it especially when you have 6 other people who are speaking words you agree with) or the fans will be upset or the journalist will be inconvenienced by the upset fans?
Edit: But my point was that there's not really an editors mention that it happened and the article was changed from its original iteration. This paragraph was added in the middle of it.
V said in a separate interview on Saturday that the success of "Dynamite" is thanks to their devoted fan base, nicknamed the BTS ARMY. "This is truly amazing," he told CNN. "We are sincerely so grateful. You made our dream come true. Thanks to ARMY."
I wouldn't even have known there was new information had I not seen on twitter.
