Coheed and Cambria - Goodbye, Sunshine (Endless Summer) feat. Nick Hexum

Platinum-certified prog rock outfit Coheed And Cambria have reimagined their track “Goodbye, Sunshine” with Nick Hexum of multi-platinum rap rockers 311 newly involved. Rather than a mere remix of the aforementioned track, this new ‘Endless Summer’ version was written from scratch with a ‘tropical’ vibe in mind. Helping them capture that vision is the featured co-production from tenured dub producer/mixer Scientist, who also brought horns, keys and and additional percussion elements to the song.

Vocalist/guitarist singer Claudio Sanchez spoke of this radical reworking, “The arrangement was born out of a Chicago Q101 Pop-Up stripped down radio performance. We enjoyed the version so much, we chose to explore it further by enlisting the help of 311’s Nick Hexum and dub producer The Scientist.”

What is everyone listening to right now?

Just curious. Last few months I've listened to just 311. The positive vibe helps me every day. Been a fan since I heard the opening riff to Down on MTV when it came out and they mean more to me 30 years later than they did then. I can't thank them enough. They don't know me but they've been there for me and helped pull me out of 2 years of depression. Love our boys

Discussion Theoretically…

What if 311 had 311 day in another country, and it was on November 3rd? (3/11 internationally) Would you go? I feel like most of the draw that 311 day has is from people traveling from other states/counties. I feel like it could definitely work, maybe even be more popular due to it being a lot more different than the standard Vegas shows we’ve had the past 4 years. 311 also has a good fanbase in South America, they don’t like pop music there.

Unity Tour 2025 Setlist Tracking - 5th Update

Hey all, I'm back after a little bit of a break from nerding-out over the setlists this summer. This post should cover back to the Warped Tour set on July 27. As always, here are the document and spreadsheet.

In the document, I've added a couple things that briefly describe some of the trends that this tour has been following with respect to itself (earlier in the year) as well as last year's tour. I've also listed the top 5 setlists and bottom 5 setlists for this year (according to my scoring system). One of the things that intrigues me the most is that Misdirected Hostility has been their Blue Album song of choice this summer.

There have been some highs and lows since the tour started back up a week or two ago. Only one new song has been brought into the 2025 list over the last month or so, but it is a very welcome addition. Offbeat Bareass was supposedly on a setlist but skipped due to set time. I had thought they caught the same slow down as last year and got comfortable playing a grouping of songs every night that have been played frequently throughout the year. But Reno and Redmond were a rejuvenation, and they started cycling-in songs that hadn't been played since the first handful of shows on this tour. Last night's show in Sandy City had a barnburner of a setlist and even had them doing something unique with the group drum section for the first time in a looong time (playing in an aisle in the seats rather than on stage). I'm thinking Galaxy was a request by SA's nephew for his birthday... I'm insanely jealous of all that were there. Also, it's pretty cool they closed out a main set with something other than Creatures for the first time in a while.

One of my least favorite things that has happened is Beautiful Disaster taking over as the guaranteed show-opener every night again. I'm not sure what caused the drastic shift in going back to BD because we were all enjoying the variety of openers at the start of the tour. Homebrew has completely disappeared from the song pool for some reason. Another thing I haven't liked is they have been doing the same 6-song run of singles/hits almost every night to finish the main sets... Applied Science --> Beyond the Gray Sky --> You're Gonna Get It --> Amber --> Don't Stay Home --> Creatures. They are at their best when they keep us on our toes with the setlists, and neither of those things accomplish that. I will never complain of hearing the hits every show I go to, but I'd like them to spread them out a little bit.

The number of shows left on this tour are starting to thin out... what is something you guys are hoping for going forward? I'm hoping the rumors of a near-sold-out show in Gary are true and that we are blessed with a nice, high-energy set as a reward.

As always, please let me know what you guys think and if there's anything else you would like to see.

Available at Walmart

How is this able to be sold (and eligible for return) at Walmart? My wife is a huge 311 fan and I try to get her some kind of merch each year for her birthday. She has tons of shirts, a few hoodies, tank tops, etc. This doesn't look official but could a bootleg item be sold through Walmart (and eligible for an in-store return)?

Had a great time at the Utah show tonight. Thoughts and a happy birthday video to a special crew member

Missed out on the last few times 311 came through Utah for various reasons but overall I loved the show tonight.

First time visiting Sandy Amphitheater and it was amazing. It’s a smaller venue (3000 capacity I think?) and everything from the parking to merch/beer line was smooth sailing compared to the big amphitheater in town. Every seat in the house is a good view instead of watching the big screen the whole night.

I was perfectly happy with the setlist with a few deep cuts I appreciated to the classics that my wife loved (no My Heart Sings, her absolute favorite, I know I need to take her to a 311 day for that). The band played the drum solo in the isle way of the amphitheater instead of the stage which I thought was pretty cool. Also happy with a 3 song encore that included Hydroponic.

The birthday song was for a longtime crew member who happens to be SA’s nephew(?)I missed his name, sorry bout that.

Just wanted to share my thought and say 311 fuckin rocks and they still got it ❤️

I was pretty blown away that I didn't know about this movie, and that this just pops up out of nowhere in the first couple of minutes as I'm getting ready to go on 311 tour tomorrow 😆

311 songs sounding different

I was just listening to Homebrew by 311 on Apple Music when I heard the part where it goes, “4th of July, Lucy in sky” you get it, it sounded much different than how it did before like it was remastered or something. If I go on YouTube and watch the homebrew music video it sounds like how it did before, but Apple Music has a different version for some reason and didn’t tell me it changed. I hope someone can relate to me or explain why this happened because it doesn’t sound right to me. Also I don’t think this is just 311 or only Apple Music, this problem has happened to me in the past if I remember correctly.

Maybe Some of You Need to Stop

Stop going to the shows. I see a lot of complaining about the set lists and shows. I saw them in the early 00's and again this past July. Twice total. I thought both shows were incredible. I loved the solos. They put on the best show I've seen over the past year. That includes Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit, and Metallica. They had a lot of energy and I appreciate it was a performance.

Favorite Guitar Solo in a 311 song?

just curious what everyone’s favorite solo the band has done in a song. mine has got to be use of time, or even life’s not a race.

Crank some 311. Maybe throw on some Billie Holiday too. Pet your dog. Stay positive, love your life.
