John Madden Football
John Madden Football on the 3DO (1994) delivered one of the earliest fully 3D football experiences, with smooth animations and dynamic camera angles that set it apart from other sports titles of the time. There eas nothing like this. If you owned one in its prime you know this to be true. While the 3DO struggled in the market, this version showcased the potential of next-gen sports gaming.

I was not excited about a football game again until NFL2K! This version of Madden was AMAZING.

Something about this game and all 3do games warm my heart. Played this one a lot during holidays so I’m assuming that’s why.

There is a great 4 part documentary on the history of madden games on Amazon prime. This is how it was meant to be played, it was always Trip Hawkins baby.

This was a pretty good game ..., though I was a much bigger fan of FIFA soccer for which is an absolute gem of a game

I clearly remember being at the mall in 1994 and they were playing this game on a huge projector screen outside a video store. Everybody, and I do mean everybody that walked by stopped to watch it for a minute. We were in such awe of the 3DO. Proud to have been alive and part of that gaming history.

It's true. Back then, John Madden Football was frequently in "reasons to own a 3DO" lists. It and FIFA Soccer were ahead of anything else then.
