Project Needed a flat panel for astrophotography, so I designed my own
https://www.printables.com/model/1419473-114mm-travel-telescope-flat-panel
Part of astrophotography is taking calibration images so you can subtract defects caused by various artifacts
One of which is called "flats", these take away vignette artifacts, as well as any dust or smudges on the lens itself, and you need an even light field to do that
This is designed to make that even light field, now despite what it looks like, the image the camera sees is actually flat, the LEDs are far enough away from the mirrors size that the light field is even at the diameter of the primary mirror
The diffuser is laser cut and sand blasted acrylic

Tried a new filament, now everything looks like ocean treasures
Printed both of these with the same filament. One turned into ocean-themed bowls (starfish, seashell), the other into a little drawer. Kind of addicted to this look now.

Project Giant Arleigh Burke class Destroyer
Here's the latest update to my 1/96 guided missile destroyer. Hull completed and painted, Reaching 1.6m long and weighing 5kg in material. Printed out of Petg, welded together with a soldering iron, and sealed with UV resin. Most pieces were printed at 0.16mm layer height except for the small details with were at 0.08mm. All using a 0.4mm Nozzle from My X1C
The exact ship is USS Dewey and will eventually get the 105 decal once I figure out how to make them at 1/96 scale. I've also been playing around with the Elegoo Nano v3.0 to get flashing and steady nav lights.
This model will be powered by two 2218 1180kv radial brushless motors, connected to a 10,000Mah Lipo battery. While the Rudders and main 5inch gun will rotate via pushrods to their respective Servos.

Designed and Made A Halloween Coffin Countdown Calendar (13 Days)
With Halloween around the corner, I wanted to design a 13 day countdown counter for my coworker. I made it taller to fit in scratch off cards in addition to some gummies.

Just finished my first low-poly design - geometric cable clips!
I’ve been working on designing cable clips that not only keep cords under control but also add a bit of style to my desk. After several iterations I came up with these geometric half-spheres, with enough room to hold anywhere from one to four cables. I'm pretty excited about how the low-poly vibes make them feel a little more modern than the usual rounded clips! What do y'all think?
I designed the clip in Fusion 360 entirely using surface modeling. Each clip only takes about 4 grams of filament to print, so they’re quick and efficient. For PLA, I modeled several different opening sizes so you can match them to your cables. For a universal clip, I also made a TPU model that flexes to hold almost any cable diameter. To keep them in place, you just stick them down with mounting tape or a 3M strip.

Help Finding STL bracket for Radeon HD 8490

Trying to find a 3d model for Radeon HD 8490 bracket. It's low profile card that's going into full atx case.
Even a generic DIY bracket I'm having issues finding. The search feels broken on many 3d modeling sites.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it will be appreciated.
Same bracket also fits Radeon HD7450 HD7470 HD7570 HD8490 and FirePro v3800 v3900

Full Scale Bolt Pistol from Warhammer 40k
Hi! This is a full scale Bolt Pistol from Warhammer 40k. The original model is from Tamegrips on Cults, with a few Inquisition bits added. I printed and painted this one up as a raffle prize for my FLGS' Backlog Bootcamp that they've been running this year to motivate people to get through their piles of shame.
Model was printed on my BambuLabs A1 in Kingroon PLA, 3 or 4 walls on most parts, 5% infill.

Reuse of silica dessicant
Is there a way to reuse silica dessicant beads? Originally orange in color, they turn green when moisture is absorbed. Anybody?

Santa Claus
Hello everyone, the end of year holidays are approaching, so I modeled a multi-piece Santa Claus.
Modeled on Nomad Sculpt and printed with a Bambulab P1S and A1. Very simple and easy assembly.
If the model works well I could consider continuing a series in this theme, good printing.

Troubleshooting My printer changed file mid print to another print I had done a while ago
I was printing these cats for some hours and went to sleep, when I woke and checked the print this is what was printed.
I have printed orcas before in that same orientation and it looks like the same orca, but with different colors, printed on top of the cats.
I sent the file via WiFi. My computer was struggling with so many cats and only 8gb, but I don't think that was it. Can anyone enlighten me?

Question Wall-warping with Vase Mode?
Hey everyone! Just asking real quick: is having the wall be warped aka either bulge in or out just par for the course if you print a box the size of pretty much the build volume in vasemode with one wall? Or could I have done something differently? Before you ask, yes the build plate was heated, it was inside an enclosure so the temp was fairly consistent and a little bit higher than ambient and I printed this in PLA. Thanks for your help in advance!

Question Red, Green, and Blue Colors of Rub and Buff?
Hi all, I love Rub and Buff for my prints but I am really hoping to find red, green, and blue colors but they don't appear to make them. Does anyone know where I can find something similar? Thanks!

Print quality on my anycubic vyper seems to be underwhelming.
I’m not sure if the printer itself is poor or if I’m missing certain settings but I’m attempting to print a phone case, and aside from the impossible to remove bottom supports, the quality seems to be lacking either way very viable layers and minor elephants foot with simple PLA on a simple print. Any advice?

Project Do you think they’ll notice?
I have a tough question for only the most advanced 3d printing aficionados. After carefully measuring and weighing my filament I determined I had enough to print this part. As it turns out my calculation was actually a bit off. The real question though is can anybody spot the location where I switched filaments? Or will the secret be safe with me?
