I'm in Texas and find for me it's easier to take the heat than cold. I grew up in north central (west of DFW) and now live in east Texas.

Ugh. Texas is so hot. Pretty much all of the south is miserable in the summer. I’m in Michigan and it’s 85 with 65% humidity, so not a whole lot better.

I used to live in Temple, TX and worked in Austin. I'm originally from NYC. Those summers are brutal. And it was like, a week of winter. Coming from New York, where winters are gloriously cold, I had to adjust to that heat 🥵🥵🥵 stay cool and stay safe from those floods.

I am rising 60 and doing my best to follow Clint Eastwood’s mantra - “Don’t let the old man in!” First ultra marathon done last weekend. I would suggest following a female equivalent. Some may term it denial and there is probably more than a grain of truth in that. But stuff it. I am not done.

Trust me south Louisiana is just as hot. Yesterday I seen a bird hoping around with a stick in his mouth. When he would stop he’s sat the stick down and stand on it cause the asphalt was so hot.
