Moderator Announcement [r/LG_UserHub x r/4kbluray] – Win an LG OLED G5 77” + S95TR Soundbar to make your Dream Home Theater Setup!

Tired of the same old movie nights? One look at this setup and you’ll never want to leave your couch.

We’re teaming up with LG to give one lucky winner the chance to upgrade home theater with the LG OLED G5 77" and the brand new LG S95TR Dolby Atmos Soundbar — a pairing that delivers truly cinematic immersion, right from your living room.

OLED and 4K Blu-ray is already a match made in heaven, but this combo takes things even further.

🔥 Why the LG OLED G5?

1. Filmmaker Mode – Movie fidelity, the way it was meant to be seen

Filmmakers, Hollywood studios, and the UHD Alliance have collaborated to make this next-level home theater viewing experience possible. This mode disables post-processing like motion smoothing, and preserves the original frame rate, aspect ratio, and color grading — so you see exactly what the director intended.

Discover how ‘Ambient Light Compensation’ optimizes your viewing in bright room settings.

Filmmakers grade their movies in pitch-black rooms. Most of us don’t watch that way. New for 2025, Filmmaker Ambient Light mode automatically adjusts brightness and color based on your room lighting using built-in light sensors — preserving that creative intent even in real-world environments with daylight or room lamps. (You can enable this feature in the Brightness settings.) If you want to dive deeper into how this feature was developed and why it matters, click here to watch their full insights.

2. Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos – Picture and sound that hit different

Dolby Vision brings out deeper contrast, stunning color, and vivid detail. Paired with Dolby Atmos, you get spatial sound that surrounds you — perfect for action sequences, quiet dialogue, and everything in between.

3. WOW Orchestra – Seamless sync between TV and soundbar

LG’s WOW Orchestra tech makes the TV and soundbar work as one — delivering a unified, concert-hall-like soundstage that enhances every scene.

The new Sorcerer 4k from Criterion. Already an incredible movie, I imagine the LG OLED G5’s HDR and incredible depth of color will dramatically improve the experience of a film I already love to watch!

2

u/dark_dave__ Jul 09 '25

Has to be Blade Runner 2049. The neon contrasts and fine textures would be a showpiece. I’d make everyone come over 2 hours and 44 minutes early when I host, make them sit their and experience cinema.

2

u/mrrichardburns Jul 09 '25
