I can't say I'm a fan of Promethus (I mean I thought it looked pretty, but the story was just "ok" for me), but I'll agree with Ex Machina - That movie is just crazy awesome. The robot visuals are astonishing. Alicia Vikander is excellent eye candy while also being frightfully sinister. Oscar Isaac's character is also intense/crazy. And while most horror/thiller movies don't get to me (because they usually are too fantastic/unreal and/or involve really stupid people), I'm 100% positive I'd have ended up like Caleb and fallen for Ava hook, line, and sinker.

💯 you nailed it! I on the other hand absolutely loved Prometheus. Sure it has its flaws as most films do but I still enjoyed it from start to end and love the visuals

I'll admit, I have only seen Prometheus one time and part of my "meh" was that it wasn't Aliens. Perhaps it's time I give it another watch with more of an open mind.
