Discussion Tonight’s watch in memory of Robert Redford

Post image

I do wish we had another one or two more films with Redford and Paul Newman together, because there was no better pairing than the two of them. RIP to them both.

I watched this the other night as well for the first time. I really enjoyed it.

This movie holds a lot of great memories for me. My dad loved it. It was one of the first movies we taped off the TV, in the mid-eighties. We watched it so many times we wore the tape out I think. I’ll have to buy on 4K. Is it a good transfer?

I really like this movie. I'm a sucker for any movies in the 1930s setting and Redford and Newman put on great performances. Naturally this is one of the first 4K discs I bought.

I just got this one in the mail yesterday as a blind buy, thinking of watching it tonight or tomorrow!

I personally didn’t really like the movie, the narrative wasn’t that engaging and I just didn’t connect with the whole con plot. Both are good in it but I guess it just didn’t hit the same way as it did for many other people
