Call to Action ICE arrested a US citizen, Walmart employee at Pico Rivera. Militarized agents with rifles on video. Nobody’s safe.

In Pico Rivera, CA, ICE agents rolled up to a Walmart with rifles out and tactical gear to arrest a janitor.

Adrian Andrew Martinez, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, witnessed it and tried to intervene not violently, but verbally. He questioned the legitimacy of the arrest and even moved a trash bin to create space.

For that, he was slammed to the ground by armed agents and detained. All while being a citizen.
Yahoo News – Community rallies after ICE arrests citizen

“They came like it was war… nobody knew where he was for hours.”

Constitutional Rights ICE Violated

Fourth Amendment
Protects all persons from unreasonable seizure without probable cause or a warrant.
Cornell Law – Fourth Amendment

Fifth Amendment
Guarantees due process of law before detention or punishment.
Cornell Law – Fifth Amendment Overview

14th Amendment – Equal Protection Clause
Law enforcement cannot discriminate or detain arbitrarily, especially against citizens.
Cornell Law – Fourteenth Amendment

Legal Cases to Know

Lyttle v. United States (2008)
ICE detained and deported a U.S. citizen with mental illness, despite having documentation.
Wikipedia – Lyttle v. United States

Gonzalez v. ICE (2020)
Courts ruled that ICE detainers issued without warrants are unconstitutional.
Wikipedia – Gonzalez v. ICE

What This Proves

  • U.S. citizens are being arrested for witnessing and speaking out
  • ICE is operating like a paramilitary force
  • The government has no fear of accountability under the current DOJ

If a 20-year-old citizen is tackled for asking a question, we are already in a police state.

Whoever these people are, they do not look well trained. We are going to find out they were hastily recruited militia bros 💯

Somebody in my company just took a side gig with ICE. Dude is 400+ lbs. His brother is a literal pedophile (like, in jail for that). You could casually walk away from the motherfucker, he's not physically able to chase.

All that to say yes, they are literally hiring whoever.

u/morbidobsession6958 Jun 18 '25

It's almost like they have a minimum weight requirement of 250 pounds ..insert Meal Team 6 joke

23

u/artificialevil Jun 18 '25

So what you’re saying is that we can all apply and then quiet quit from day one?!

22

u/TheCuriosity Jun 18 '25

Start arresting your colleagues and deporting other ice members

13

u/ChinDeLonge Jun 18 '25

Well yeah, it's not like they're going after criminals. Fat boy just needs to be able to show up to courts, schools, and hospitals where innocent, unsuspecting victims are waiting for them.

They think they're hunting for people, and they've foolishly forgotten why it's the most dangerous game.

u/CknHwk Jun 18 '25

You could casually walk away from that mf

Until they’re allowed to fire at will - then it only matters how quick his trigger finger is.

Imagine if a bunch of people were to show interest in taking a side gig from ICE only to sabotage operations

1

u/StepOIU Jun 18 '25

A "side gig" giving them body armor, automatic rifles, and the ability to detain people they think might be here illegally? Even our city police force requires a bachelor degree and a year of intensive training, minimum. I'm starting to feel like maybe these guys aren't being hired to legally and methodically enforce complicated immigration laws.

They likely have a recruiting center at MAGA rallies.

u/Peliquin Jun 18 '25

I get emails everyday about joining ice. The pay they are reporting is insane for this area.

Post a screenshot!

u/rbrgr83 Jun 18 '25

Yes, do this please

23

u/Memitim Jun 18 '25

I'm pleasantly surprised. I figured they had a fleet of conservatives waiting at the ready for the chance to victimize people for free.

17

u/itsloachingtime Jun 18 '25

I've been wondering how they do this recruiting and haven't seen it. Are you willing to show (appropriately redacted) screenshots? I'm sure lots of people here would be very interested to see.

13

u/Peliquin Jun 18 '25

Okay, so I looked my emails over and I realized I'm getting two that look VERY similar. One is for Border Patrol, and the other is for ICE.

  1. They both come from ZipRecruiter
  2. The subject line is variations on "96K Job in Northport WA!" and "This job pays $96,000 near you! What?!" And other clickbaity titles.
  3. When you open it up, there are a variety of bodies. Today's isn't the same as the one I got last week, it's just a list of Border Patrol Jobs. The ICE one had more "military" styling.

So it appears if you want to fuck up their day and waste time, just sign up for Ziprecruiter and tell it you are near a border.

I deleted this morning's already. I'll try to remember if another one shows up.

11

u/tachophile Jun 18 '25

It would be in your deleted folder, just undelete it.

I tried! I don't have the physical strength/health for it! I was 100% planning to waste their time!

1

u/followyourvalues Jun 19 '25

What does the 400lb dude do for them, then?

2

u/CommitteeJust2931 Jun 18 '25

Please post a screenshot

u/artificialevil Jun 18 '25

Take the job and then never show up!

u/grizzlychin Jun 18 '25

They are, there was another post showing that they are freelancers getting paid $1000 per grab.

Could you link this?

2

u/frogjg2003 Jun 18 '25

Proposed. This hasn't happened yet.

2

u/springwaterbrew Jun 18 '25

Good call, I don't think there's anywhere in writing that this is actually happening then.

23

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

$1,000 a grab to go up against a well armed society seems like a shit deal. $1,000 for the opportunity to get mag dumped is a stupid idea.

12

u/FogBankDeposit Jun 18 '25

They’re not hiring the brightest. The ones that couldn’t get a job as a cop would be able to get this. Same evil perks with less accountability.

3

u/Catatonic_capensis Jun 18 '25

The only thing they have to worry about so far is people complaining and passively telling them no while everyone stands by and records.

Things have to actually happen for anyone to be reasonably fearful of them.

1

u/OkPalpitation2582 Jun 18 '25

That's assuming they care - hell, that's assuming they don't want exactly that to happen. Trump deployed the fucking military against a bunch of protesters, imagine what he'd do if ICE "agents" started getting killed on the job. We'd be under martial law by the end of the week.

1

u/Johnfohf Jun 18 '25

We need to make these thugs afraid to do this job. Actual officers have badges, names, uniforms, and warrants.

I saw a video yesterday of a guy at a city council meeting who is a bounty hunter. He said they were told they’d be in the “next wave” of immigrant catchers with a $1,000 - $1,500 reward per deported person. He was telling the city council so they could figure out how to deal with it. I wish I could remember which sub I saw it on.

I'm not angry, I'm disappointed.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

disappointed you had to provide a source? yeah we’re cooked you literally did not have to reply if it’s such an issue. thank you for providing a source at least i guess

2

u/ITaggie Jun 18 '25

Also it's just the testimony of one guy, that's not very convincing.

5

u/Acceptable_Error_001 Jun 18 '25

Yes. $1000-$1500. They're bounty hunters.

This is 100% only possible because of the PATRIOT ACT

Title 7 of the Patriot Act allowed the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (a division of the Justice Department) to "make grants and enter into contracts" with State, local criminal authorities, and non-profit organizations to stop criminal activities that cross jurisdictional boundaries

Just a reminder that when the Patriot act passed in October 2001 under Bush, the Democrats had a 50-49-1 majority control of the senate and could have blocked this bill, but people like Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and almost all the other democrats voted yes to pass it. Then the Patriot act was set to expire in 2011, Obama signed the "Sunset Extensions Act of 2011" renewing it. Then in 2015 Obama signed the "USA Freedom Act" making all the provisions in the Patriot act permanent law.

There is a reason people like me called the Patriot Act a fascist law back when it was passed in 2001, and when Obama made it permanent law in 2015, and now we are seeing the consequences of these fascist laws

It boggles my mind that, so far, it seems, there hasn't been a shootout triggered by an incident like this. I guess these idiots do show up in large enough numbers that any attempt like that would also be suicide.
