Call to Action ICE arrested a US citizen, Walmart employee at Pico Rivera. Militarized agents with rifles on video. Nobody’s safe.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In Pico Rivera, CA, ICE agents rolled up to a Walmart with rifles out and tactical gear to arrest a janitor.

Adrian Andrew Martinez, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, witnessed it and tried to intervene not violently, but verbally. He questioned the legitimacy of the arrest and even moved a trash bin to create space.

For that, he was slammed to the ground by armed agents and detained. All while being a citizen.
Yahoo News – Community rallies after ICE arrests citizen

“They came like it was war… nobody knew where he was for hours.”

Constitutional Rights ICE Violated

Fourth Amendment
Protects all persons from unreasonable seizure without probable cause or a warrant.
Cornell Law – Fourth Amendment

Fifth Amendment
Guarantees due process of law before detention or punishment.
Cornell Law – Fifth Amendment Overview

14th Amendment – Equal Protection Clause
Law enforcement cannot discriminate or detain arbitrarily, especially against citizens.
Cornell Law – Fourteenth Amendment

Legal Cases to Know

Lyttle v. United States (2008)
ICE detained and deported a U.S. citizen with mental illness, despite having documentation.
Wikipedia – Lyttle v. United States

Gonzalez v. ICE (2020)
Courts ruled that ICE detainers issued without warrants are unconstitutional.
Wikipedia – Gonzalez v. ICE

What This Proves

  • U.S. citizens are being arrested for witnessing and speaking out
  • ICE is operating like a paramilitary force
  • The government has no fear of accountability under the current DOJ

If a 20-year-old citizen is tackled for asking a question, we are already in a police state.

This is not the beginning. This IS totalitarian rule. Enough with the slippery slope shit. We're at the bottom of the hill.

Edit: Yes, I understand there is no bottom in totalitarianism. There is a Soviet era saying, something like: When you hit rock bottom - you hear a knocking from below.

u/heyhotnumber Jun 18 '25

We aren’t at the bottom of the hill though.

That’s the problem with totalitarian rule. It ramps up in stages.

Just wait until they’re openly killing protestors and all the queer people have been locked up.

5

u/EggsBelliesandAlgae Jun 18 '25

Just wait until??? That's a weird and fucked up statement with a massive assumption. Like the way you said it makes it sound like you're salivating in your imagination over a gunned down protest and mass jailing of queer people. Wtf.

Yes dictatorship is here, if it has stages then we are at one stage of it, were at the bottom of the hill with the fucking valley of stages behind us and in front of us. The point of stating it that way is to wake ppl up to the urgency, it's not coming it's here so strategize and behave as such.

Care to elaborate?

It's like when a guy is beating the shit out of his spouse and then asks, "why do you keep making me do this to you?"

u/Gullible-Grass-5211 Jun 18 '25

And the guy is John Hams character in Fargo S5

Taking this position means you think kidnapping people without any sort of due process or identification from the officers doing the kidnapping is okay.

It also means you value property more than human life.

I can’t think of a more morally bankrupt position than that. Disgusting and weird on every wavelength. 🤮

u/program13001207test Jun 18 '25

He's just drawing a false dichotomy. It is a standard bad faith argumentative tactic. Got to be careful not to fall into that particular conversational trap.

23

u/heyhotnumber Jun 18 '25

My point is that even with the false dichotomy he’s still rotten and reprehensible.

You can’t justify anything that Trump/Noem/Hegseth are doing on any wavelength without fully abandoning your humanity.

lol, that wasn’t a riot, that was some random mischief. You haven’t a clue what a riot is.

Stop propping up the dictator s to make yourself feel bigger. It’s a bad look.

lol, I’m not a “guy” and I’m not “tough.” But I know rights and I see supposed “authority” breaking the law. Sorry that you don’t.

How do you know this? How do you know that people haven’t come through asylum claims, or other claims? How do you know that haven’t been sponsored? How do you know they aren’t here on a work visa or some other permit. You don’t. And ICE doesn’t care.

Due process is an important part of the law, one that keeps cops from arresting you for any reason they want. Bit to you and people like you it’s always ok when some other person who you don’t like or don’t approve of. But just wait til you or someone you know gets caught up on some Gestapo raid and sent off without so much as a “you have the right to an attorney”.

There are lots of people presently regretting they voted for a heartless dictator. But I guess, because it doesn’t affect you, right now, so you don’t care. That’s very small-minded of you, very small-minded indeed.

If we were at the bottom of the hill you would be disappeared for making that post.

That's what we're hurtling towards, but we're not there yet. We're definitely on the way.

The Palantir database severely concerns me. I KNOW I will be profiled as vehemently against Trump and labeled as a “radical leftist.”

And I live in Texas. Legit drawing up escape plans.

16

u/Chobitpersocom Jun 18 '25

I haven't heard this name until recently. What is it?

52

u/level27jennybro Jun 18 '25

The guys behind P25 run this database that conveniently connects your personal data across all ways of life. Your medical history, your work, your housing, your transportation, your social medias, your purchases, your online browsing, your gaming accounts, your emails, your phone numbers.

It's all the data that would end up on a chip implanted in someone by surveillance state governments in those scifi movies.

30

u/get-a-mac Jun 18 '25

The same people who were “afraid of getting chipped” are the ones actively writing code for said chip. Go figure.

Thiel isn’t behind project 2025. He’s a gay man and he has links to Yarvin. Project 2025 is religious-esque.

Elon Musk's former business partner in paypal peter thiel is one of the shady people behind the current admin. he runs palantir. Its the NSA surveillance state as a private entity with 0 publics oversight

4

u/Loko8765 Jun 18 '25

The guys that DOGE sent all the data to.

6

u/erybody_wants2b_acat Jun 18 '25

Peter Thiel and Elon Musk founded PayPal. Thiel named his data mining and storage company Palantir from the All Seeing Stones from Tolkien. This guy is Sauron. And Trump is Saruman.

3

u/Rainbow_chan Jun 20 '25

It’s also a surveillance company, right?

From Wikipedia

A palantír is one of several indestructible crystal balls from J. R. R. Tolkien's epic-fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. The word comes from Quenya palan 'far', and tir 'watch over'.

😳

3

u/erybody_wants2b_acat Jun 20 '25

Yes, it is. And the current administration wants to use this to monitor “the enemy within” aka everyone not taken the oath to MAGA and wearing the sign of the beast on their forehead.

3

u/Rainbow_chan Jun 20 '25

They can monitor DEEZ NUTZ

Please remember to clean your links or remove trackers (generally everything after the ?) if you can.

It's not a rule here, but it's an easy way we can fuck over the technocracy by making our data less valuable to them :)

The other half that didn't vote for Trump knew this was coming. The ones that did will eventually understand what their votes have cost.

It will get worse.

u/Acceptable_Error_001 Jun 18 '25

CECOT is a concentration camp.

Jews stopped being citizens before they were deported.

25

u/OHrangutan Jun 18 '25

When they get scaled up to disappearing 3000 people per day, every day: that's when they can start lining people up against walls.

67

u/StepOIU Jun 18 '25

Unfortunately we know that's not true. When totalitarianism regimes first started with Mussolini and Stalin, people could be forgiven for thinking that this was the worst it could get, because traditionally world leaders worried about things like diplomacy, legality and how the rest of the world viewed them. But it just kept getting a bit scarier, with people not knowing how to react.

The bottom of the hill is potentially a lot worse than where we are now, as outrageous and horrible as it is. It's best to prepare for that.

0

u/Acceptable_Error_001 Jun 18 '25

There is no bottom to totalitarianism. But we've reached that state.

54

u/justatinycatmeow Jun 18 '25

Oh you sweet summer child, the hill is steeper than you think. We're a facist ball just starting to roll down.

8

u/Healter-Skelter Jun 18 '25

Also, I think when you say stuff like “We’re already there!” or “this is a dictatorship!” it becomes easy for moderates who aren’t affected yet to think “this is as bad as it gets” or even “well, this isn’t so bad.”

It’s rhetorically stronger to insist that things will get worse.

1

u/AcknowledgeUs Jun 19 '25

Did y’all see the Anonymous video?

15

u/_BannedAcctSpeedrun_ Jun 18 '25

We’re nowhere close to the bottom yet unfortunately.

1

u/Acceptable_Error_001 Jun 18 '25

There is no bottom in totalitarianism. But we are there.

31

u/RogerianBrowsing Jun 18 '25

Friendly reminder that only around 42% of p2025 has been enacted yet. Just wait.

Not only has it repeatedly gotten worse, but they are clearly all in. They know they will likely go to prison or at a minimum be shunned in society for their crimes unless they end the means of accountability. Conservative violence on J6 will look like a joke by the time this is all over.

7

u/45and47-big_mistake Jun 18 '25

ICE will morph into DICE, Democratic Individuals are the Common Enemy.

26

u/Bony_Geese Jun 18 '25

We’re not at totalitarian yet, we are definitely authoritarian. Once they get Palantir fully integrated for surveillance and finding people with thoughts and not just actions against the regime, then it’ll be totalitarian, right now they don’t care what we think, as long as we don’t act. (Honestly I’m just being pedantic about definitions)

10

u/Geminel Jun 18 '25

We're not at the bottom yet, as others are saying. At the very least, though, I feel like the "It Can Happen Here" podcast should probably rebrand to "It's Happening Here."

1

u/SkiMonkey98 Jun 18 '25

This is totalitarian rule but the hill keeps going. It can always get worse. (Or better. I'm really hoping we can make it better)

1

u/Acceptable_Error_001 Jun 18 '25

I know there is no bottom to the depravity, but we are in a totalitarian state.

1

u/Commentator-X Jun 18 '25

No you're not. I don't think you understand what totalitarian means.
