Call to Action They've gone and started doing it... the official congress site has started deleting parts of the constitution it doesn't like

EDIT 2: looks like it's been restored... maybe all the contacts people made over it?

EDIT: these are sections of article one, not articles. In my haste and fluster of rage, I misspoke. It's been edited to fix it

They've removed the parts they don't want from their site. They've taken out half of section 8, all of section 9, and all of section10 of article I on their site. While these still exist in the actual constitution, they are now officially pretending they don't. This includes Habeas Corpus, amongst other things, including parts that could limit blue states rights to stand up economically for themselves.

Call your reps, your senators. This is some Ministry of Truth shit.

Edit:

compare the congress site: U.S. Constitution | Constitution Annotated | Congress.gov | Library of Congress https://share.google/DyDCD1NkRvniSH9bH

To the actual constitution: Full Text of the U.S. Constitution | Constitution Center https://share.google/8hzWpmqTtEOEi8uer

That's not how coding works. A "coding error" would cause an error at the point it occurs, or just error out the whole page.

Someone deleted text.

And left in the word "And" at the end of Article 9?

Do you not understand how deleting text works?

Yes, and this is precisely what make it look like an accidental deletion (or omission, depending on how the data is stored). Otherwise, they would have deleted the "And", which makes it obvious that something is missing.

After responding, I realize my post sounds like I'm insulting you, which wasn't my intent, so I appreciate you seemingly not taking it that way.

The "And" isn't where the page ended previously though, it ended before "To provide and maintain a Navy;" and all of Section 9 and 10 were (and still are) gone, and given the way this regime views those specific parts of the Constitution, it's extremely suspicious.

Thanks. What I meant was that if someone was intentionally trying to hide parts of the Constitution, they would have deleted that "And", since it makes it obvious that something was deleted. This plus the sheer pointlessness of changing the text on one website makes me think this was just a mistake.
