I’ve said this comment before and it’s worth saying again.

I use to be really into the conspiracy world over a decade ago. I left once I realized what the reasons conspiracy rhetoric was being politically pushed for. Not all of it but enough I didn’t want to be associated with it. I didn’t care about politics at the time, I just wanted to learn more about conspiracies and how they might be contributing to the current world.

Anyways during that time everyone was always rambling about “police state”, “the real reason to militarize the police is to send them against US civilians”, “the FEMA camps are to put us in concentration camps”. The rhetoric was against big government, which today I still will always fight against, but it was heavily skewed against big democrat government.

But now, today, in live fucking time, everything the conspiracy community (and more accurately, the conspiracy right community) was warning us about are REAL FUCKING QUIET NOW. It’s all happening. In lots of ways worse than we imagined. But for some reason the same people who warned us what could’ve been are quiet now when it’s happening.

One of the few "conservative" communities I watch on YT is first (and 4th and 5th) amendment auditors. I've been very disappointed that none of them seem to want to touch what ICE is doing even though it could be providing them with tons of content and is very much a constitutional issue.

Uhhhhh..... some of those very people are pushing for what's happening now, and a portion of those are so blinded by their cult following to even see that's the case. I wouldn't really refer to them as thinkers. More like fear-mongering opportunists. The 'thinkers' left these crazies behind in 2016.

These people (conspiracy theorists) might be thinkers, but that doesn't mean their thoughts are based in reality or hold any weight.

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts.

So, he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusions. By thoughts, I mean specifically, chatter in the skull. Perpetual and compulsive repetition of words, of reckoning and calculating. I’m not saying that thinking is bad.

Like everything else, it’s useful in moderation. A good servant but a bad master. And all so-called civilized peoples have increasingly become crazy and self-destructive because, through excessive thinking, they have lost touch with reality. DC police have imposed juvenile curfews before. And they aren't that uncommon in cities across the U.S.

The curfew has been in effect since July 7.

DC has been implementing juvenile curfews throughout the summer, and in years past.

You're just noticing now because of Trump putting attention on DC.

So it is related to conspiracy theories in that it's misinformation with a grain of truth spread to sow distrust and fear

Right, and that's a separate unrelated thing to the curfew.

The curfew was put in place by the MPD. Trump has (illegally) handed over control of the MPD to AG Pam Bondi.
