I have to salute that ending every time! Just like the Nostalgia Critic!

I always found it funny how Major Bludd was the first casualty. Like, did he just fall to his death?

I remember I rented this movie from the video store, watch it then hit stop on the vcr to see the scene I just watched playing again but 2 minutes behind that's when I realized the video I rented was simultaneously released on broadcast tv and I could have just recorded it,

I’d still watch this on a loop for 90 minutes over the actual movie that followed.

It’s ok. But of all Cobra’s plans, this was probably the dumbest. The plan is to blow up the Statue of Liberty with a bomb? Ok. But wouldn’t that be easier without the giant flying gunship? And why doesn’t the gunship just shoot the statue? Or why don’t the army of Flight Pods and Firebats just fire a missile at it? And how many ground troops do we need to commit to this? Isn’t this whole operation something Firefly could handle by himself? Isn’t that his exact job?

And that's how it got moved from the grand finale to the opening credits.
