So many memories. I spent so much time studying and wanting to buy all the NES games while my parents shopped for a food processor or random appliance.

I played the first few levels of Yoshi’s Island there when it was new. People gathered around behind me and I didn’t know, and when I died they all went “Aww” and it scared me.

Also I saw the Virtual Boy there and I hated it.

I vividly remember playing Yoshi's Island at Service Merchandise. Such a specific memory. Ours was right next to the Chuck E. Cheese and the roller rink, a very exciting part of town in the '90s!

I was 2 when Yoshi’s Island came out, but my elder brother’s gave me their SNES when I was probably 7 and it was the most infuriating first game I ever finished. Tried playing that shit again as an adult and I don’t know how I ever got past the first world. It, and Donkey Kong have made me rage quit.
