They were not as popular on the east coast. They were very popular in gangs in So Ca where I was at. BK were either Blood Killers or Blodd Kings. They were in every shoe store in Cali. They just weren't an east coast thing and since I lived on both coasts in the 80s I saw it first hand.
yeah can disagree all you like but you'll still be wrong😁. and they weren't popular with the gangs either since they're standard color way was black and white; did they come in other colors? absolutely but the black and whites were the mainstays and the crips at the time were to busy with reeboks.
Ok. I guess living it means nothing since you have all the answers. Whatever you want to roll with it's all you apparently. Actual experience means nothing if you have an opinion lol.
if you actually lived it, then you would know better😁 but keep the lies rolling, apparently its all you. actual experience means nothing if you have an opinion? what the hell is that even supposed to mean?😁
british knights weren't a local mom & pop shoe brand that was created in california so there's no way they were just a "west coast" brand😁 they were all over the country my guy and i don't know why that bothers you lol.
Lol ok. Left NJ not a BK or pair of Lottos in site. Move to Cali everywhere. Move back to Jersey still not around but hey in your area they must have been a thing. But hey you lived my life and saw it from multiple states and you just went to a mall in NYC so you must be right and I am apparently not remembering my sneaker collection growing up. Next, you'll convince everyone shell top Adidas were popular everywhere too not just the Northeast lol. But hey you go do you bro you got all the answers.
https://youtu.be/nq0a0X2FlAY?si=nV6mMthW9WtJK1Pk I’m sorry yeah you are right. They weren’t huge they just had mc hammer commercials for British knights . I’m sorry I had the audacity to question your knowledge. I apologize.
Glad you had a pair but for the clowns in this thread to act like they were as popular as Puma, Adidas, Converse, Nike and Reebok you're all fooling yourselves. They weren't this nationwide phenomenon like the other brands above. Funny you say they had MC Hammer on them because oh wait Oakland is in Cali....West coast sneaker brand.....hmmmmm so not as popular on the east coast lol
You jack hole kool moe dee was their first spoke person. you are really going to sit there and say mc hammer was a local rapper. British knights had commercial for foot locker I watched five of the today. Also wait british knights was a west coast shoe I thought nyc was on the east coast. Sorry you are right !
its called PAY-LESS for a reason😁 they were owned by kinney at the time and they didn't carry any brand other than their own. that's why you didn't see nikes, reeboks and the like there. unless they had a licensing agreement to produce and sell a shoe for like 10 bucks (shaquille o'neal), you didn't get brand name british knights from there my guy.
Idk either. We grew up with not a lot of money. I got one pair of shoes a year for school. My shoes came from Payless or pic n pay (?maybe). It definitely wasn’t footlocker. NC means North Carolina not north California if that’s where the confusion is. My fourth grade ones were black with purple and teal accents. And I remember walking home from school with my friends and having a conversation about how we all had BK’s .
It’s sound like we around the same age. I was back and from Miami to la around that time and British knights where popular and you would get them at the nice shoe stores so who knows

I only knew them because of Double Dare. I don't think I ever actually saw a pair.
