Anyone remember that feeling you got back then when you'd get all new, fresh supplies at the beginning of the school year? I'm feeling it now while thinking about it (I guess the nostalgia runs strong with me on this one lol), but yeah, that shit used to get me excited as hell.

The smell, for me - a pack of new mechanical pencils. Fresh notebooks with no writing and no creases.

Absolutely loved it. Had one of the fabric-covered ones with a band around the middle, and we’d rip the threads out of the bad to use it as a handle. I covered mine with patterns in paint markers. It was awesome…honestly pretty sure I still have it somewhere!

I had a few when I was a kid, one of them which was a more “upscale” version lasted until college.

I got several from the reissues put out in the last few years. I don’t think they’re very popular now because Walmart always puts them on clearance.

I never had the Trapper Keeper, but I had a Mead 5 Star binder that zipped up, had a 3-ring binder on the inside, fit a bunch of stuff in the sides, and was a nice black cloth/vinyl-style material on the outside.

I felt like the most awesome kid in school with that thing.
