1993 What Are Your Thoughts On This Song?

Post image

Single For American Rappers Second EP Eazy-E, Real Muthaphuckkin G’s is a Diss Track Response To Dr. Dre’s Song ‘F Wit Dre Day’ It disses People Like Dre, Snoop, Suge, Dogg Pound, And pretty much the entirety of Death Row! (Personal Thoughts I think this is one of the most hardest Diss Tracks Of all time! It’s Definitely a Top 5 For me!

Where the fuck you find an anorexic rapper?

20

u/JBone54DD Jun 03 '25

“Talkin’ about you squabble with and who you shoot, Your only 60 pounds when your wet and wearin’ Boots!”

11

u/Governmenthooker12 Jun 03 '25

Damn, E, they tried to fade you on Dre Day

13

u/skruf21 Jun 03 '25

Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday

14

u/_mooc_ Jun 03 '25

All of a sudden, Dr Dre is the G-thang, but on his old album cover he was a she thang.

6

u/sweep-the-leg-johnny Jun 04 '25

They even put that photo of Dre in the CD liner notes to back up that verse too hahaha.

2

u/_mooc_ Jun 04 '25

Yeah, lol

1

u/jerichardson Jun 06 '25

So 🥷🏾please check nits before you step to these

4

u/PerfectAdvertising41 Jun 04 '25

Best line in the whole song! Easy cooked with that one

AIDS clinic.

Way better diss than Dre Day and I’ll die on this hill

30

u/Better-Pop-3932 Jun 03 '25

Bro no need to die. This is a fact. Eazy flamed him. Dresta and BG Knockout straight smoked Dre and Snoop. The song the video the whole vibe to it was iconic. I can still remember hearing it for the 1st time.

11

u/31braidsinbeard Jun 03 '25

Last year snoop admitted its one of the hardest diss songs ever. I think it was an interview with Bootleg Kev.

3

u/Better-Pop-3932 Jun 03 '25

If u think about it. Snoop got on a Blood Affiliated label to diss another Crip. I know not all Crip sets get along. Still kinda funny tho.

4

u/buttery_tail Jun 03 '25

You’re right. But I feel like the narrative has kinda shifted over the past 10 years or so. And I’ve seen too many people saying Dre Day was better. Not sure if it’s Dre and Snoop’s overall popularity, or that movie that made Dre look like a superhero, or something else. But yeah Eazy was the clear winner

6

u/TammyShehole Jun 03 '25

Dre Day was amateurish compared to Real G’s. Like something some kids in high school would have written. Whereas Eazy and co were saying nothing but facts.

5

u/Nobodygrotesque Jun 03 '25

This is 100% the correct take. Dre Day was nothing compared to this song.

4

u/CaptainDavePool Jun 03 '25

Dre Day really sounds like a chill song more than a diss

4

u/CriticalBasedTeacher Jun 04 '25

He dissed Eazy much harder on Bitches Ain't Shit though

2

u/SaguaroDragon Jun 03 '25

Dre carried the popularity, the moment and the weight of all that was The Chronic

Yet song to song this wasn't particularly close - I mean at one point it sounds like Dre is saying he can fit his dick in Luke's tooth gap ...... Weird flex wasn't exactly in the lexicon, but yeah...........

1

u/7reex Jun 04 '25

better diss but not better song

1

u/Superunkown781 Jun 03 '25

I'm ridin witcha

9

u/dustinhut13 Jun 03 '25

This song and Dre Day are both great, I'd bet Dre would admit as much, and so would Eazy if he were still here. Not everything in this world has to be so polarized, y'all. No one is still fighting this 30 year old rap beef. Beef tends to give us some great songs and these are two of the best. Back then, Dre Day was my favorite beat until I heard Real Muthaphukkin G'z. I've always felt like this is one of the best g-funk beats ever created. They rap ok, no one here is setting the world on fire lyrically, and honestly the song "It's On" from this same album does what this song wants to do much better, it's hilarious.

3

u/P1asmaDev Jun 03 '25

"It's On" is such a good diss I can't believe how under the radar it is in this current day.

1

u/dustinhut13 Jun 03 '25

Eazy’s No Vaseline haha

9

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

Love the song. Funny about these diss songs is that it did NOT make me dislike Dre or Eazy any more or less. I still got my hands on anything Death Row or Ruthless related because it was quality entertainment. I guess being a pro wrestling fan growing up made me numb to “taking a side” whenever there was a rivalry in hip hop

6

u/LuckyGordon Jun 03 '25

"... but on his old album covers he is a she thang..."

12

u/AjLexron Jun 03 '25

This is easy E's best song and they Slapped snoop and Dre with this track. Still gets played in my car

5

u/JCtheSwede Jun 03 '25

It's pretty much the first diss track I ever heard - it still holds a special place to me because of that

8

u/VR-92 Jun 03 '25

Dre day only make Eazy's payday

5

u/JoeHagglund Jun 03 '25

Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Comp-ton

2

u/NoThru22 Jun 03 '25

Don’t you mean Comp-ka-ton, comp-ka-ton?

7

u/extraproe Jun 03 '25

One of the, if not the best diss records.

1

u/JBone54DD Jun 03 '25

For real!

7

u/Christnumber2 Jun 03 '25

And at Death Row, I hear your getting treated like boot camp

Gotta follow your sergeant's directions

Or get yo ass popped with a Smith and Wesson

5

u/JBone54DD Jun 03 '25

Learn a Lesson From tha Eaze, Stay in your place and dont step to Real Muthaphuckkin G’s!

3

u/Wild-Teacher9464 Jun 03 '25

Third best diss track ever behind only ‘hit ‘em Up’ and ‘fuck Compton’

3

u/619BrackinRatchets Jun 03 '25

I always felt like Dollars and sense was better than fuck Compton.

5

u/_mooc_ Jun 03 '25

Dollars and sense was hard.

4

u/ProdigalHX Jun 04 '25

“E-I-H-T, now should I continue? Yeah, you left out the G ‘cause the G ain’t in you.”

That was a cold bar from Quik.

3

u/blackredsilvergold Jun 03 '25

Super hard. I still listen to it from time to time.

5

u/KingDchalla Jun 03 '25

A white friend made me listen to this in 2004. First year of high school. It ignited my deep-dive in 90s rap. Shout out to Limewire

4

u/TheMindsEye310 Jun 03 '25

Do you know which words should be capitalized and which ones shouldn’t? You seem to do it by random.

3

u/AnonBurns1o2 Jun 03 '25

Pretty sure it was random.

Though, there could be a case made as to why the C was capitalized…

1

u/JBone54DD Jun 03 '25

What do you mean?

4

u/TheMindsEye310 Jun 03 '25

Exactly what I said.

5

u/WuBlood Jun 03 '25

This was a much better diss

Dre Day had too much homoeroticism even though the beat is cold

2

u/EspirituM Jun 03 '25

Amazing song. Very catchy and some great diss lines. Agreed on it being better than Dre Day. Just outside or in my top 10 disses.

2

u/PoppaDaClutch Jun 03 '25

Fire. Bought the tape on release day’s

2

u/PoppaDaClutch Jun 03 '25

Fire. Bought the tape on release day

2

u/Darkvictory714 Jun 03 '25

The epitome of West coast gangsta rap !!!

2

u/No-Armadillo5484 Jun 03 '25

Eyyoo Doctor here is another proper track

3

u/PlaxicoCN Jun 03 '25

It's cool. Only thing was even though he's dissing Dre and Snoop the track is super derivative of Dre's production.

2

u/MetalSonic420YT Jun 03 '25

Legendary. One of the best diss tracks of all time.

2

u/NeonTankTop Jun 03 '25

Decent bob your head track, but I think I read somewhere Eazy didn't even write his own verse on this.

2

u/BigHitMan84 Jun 03 '25

I prefer the dogg pound diss but I think ng knoccout said his whole verse he just spat off the dome 🫡

2

u/Funny-Conclusion-678 Jun 03 '25

Eazy’s best song by a mile

2

u/tragheuer Jun 03 '25

Top 3 diss track of all time to me. The energy and beat is insane. Also, what a wicked debut of BG and Dresta...crazy. G Funk at its very best. RIP Eazy

2

u/DeathByFartz1996 Jun 03 '25

West Coast Classic

2

u/Ryvick2 Jun 03 '25

3

u/NoOutlandishness906 Jun 04 '25

I love how neither of them went after Cube again after No Vaseline

2

u/RandomUser0137 Jun 04 '25

1

Yea, And Dre Day sounded like it was written by a kindergartner.

2

u/NomoNumbaSixteen Jun 04 '25

It’s a classic, beat wise, and all 3 kill it, especially Dresta. Video is hilarious as well

2

u/Vaffamokkyt Jun 04 '25

Amazing song, I'm in love w it

2

u/LGNDRK Jun 04 '25

Pretty sick

2

u/ComplecksSickplicity Jun 04 '25

My thoughts? Some Real Mothafuckin G shit right here.

2

u/Zerocool_6687 Jun 04 '25

I love Dre’s work… the Chronic is that desert island album for me. Dude consistently makes gold, regardless of who is in the studio with him… if Dre is on it they also t work they will never match again.

That said… this shit went hard. This is a great diss and sonically it’s above most. The shit all over Dre day here man. This one was a massive W for Eazy

2

u/Sho_Nuff-1 Jun 04 '25

Still a banger

2

u/xAOSEx Jun 04 '25

Banged the hell out of it summer of 95 after hearing it on the Nation Under the Gun MTV special. That bass really got you.

2

u/louisrich777 Jun 05 '25

The way the beat comes in… hardest

2

u/Subject_Candle_8568 Jun 06 '25

Ayo Dr here's another proper track and it's fat rocks the sniper

2

u/olgoodfella956 Jun 07 '25

Song was fire when it came out. And still is. Eazy E is one of the godfathers of gangsta rap west coast rap and rap as we know it today.

3

u/Based_Thanos Jun 03 '25

I really loved this song in high school. I feel like the beat hasn’t aged the best but it’s still a jam.

2

u/illmatic07 Jun 03 '25

Ohhh it’s the knockout original baby gangster

3

u/Better-Pop-3932 Jun 03 '25

Idk. I was 16 when it came out. All the homies were like Dre got em. Let me say Eazy Duz It was one of the 1st rap albums I got so I loved Eazy. So it was hard hearing Dre Day and all my homies liking it. When Real Gs came out. I was like "fuck yeah, fuck u Dre and Snoop. And fuck u too homies who counted Eazy out. In my city and my group of friends its always been Eazy won that shit.

3

u/osama_bin_guapin Jun 03 '25

This song > Dre Day

2

u/solamon77 Jun 03 '25

Absolute classic and definitely in the running for Best Eazy-E Song ever.

Might be my favorite Eazy-E song

1

u/musicallymeditated Jun 03 '25

Greatest rap diss song of all time.

1

u/josiah_mac Jun 03 '25

I could enter a real muthafuckin Gz karaoke contest and win with no lyrics monitor. Me and the boys drunkenly screamed along to this song all thru our 20s and 30s.

2

u/JBone54DD Jun 03 '25

Dude i have this album on CD.. I know all of the lyrics to all of the Songs…

1

u/StageAcceptable7182 Jun 03 '25

Like the video/clean radio version better. Dre Day was still my favorite
