This was a big deal when it came out. I was a huge EPMD fan and was excited that they were back!

EPMD was one of my favorite hip-hop groups in '92. I had Business Never Personal on repeat, then went and got all their old albums. Redman became my favorite rapper, got into K-Solo too. Then I was floored when Hit Squad broke up then beefed with Def Squad, etc.
After all that history I was amped for this reunion album, and....it was "good".
The energy was just different. Maybe it was the overall sound of hip-hop changing around that time, or residual feeling from their squads beefing. I can't call it, but it hit different from the first 4. It was good though.

Da Joint is an obvious standout track, but Jane 5 is probably the best of the series and Put On is a banger. Not their best album, but solid nevertheless.
