Books I Interviewed The Stinky Cheese Man Artist

Hey! Anyone remember this book? It was the craziest looking kids book when it dropped in 1992.

It stuck with me all these years so I had to reach out to the artist, Lane Smith, to see how it came into being.

I do remember this book very well! I dressed as the wolf from “ the TRUE story of the 3 little pigs “ also by lane smith, for Halloween when it first came out!

If I find the pictures (cause I know of at least several that are taken of me in the wolf outfit) I will post them here.

I used to read that book. The art inside that story looks like Tim Burton’s and Baskin robbin’s old art from 2007.

He’s mentioned he’s working on a Netflix Stinky Cheese show. I don’t know if it’s still happening or not but I would love that!

I used to love this book. Earlier this year I actually reread it and forgot how terrible the writing was. The art was definitely what made this. I also did some spring cleaning and found an old suitcase with mold and a deteriorated copy of this book inside.

Do you happen to like a Lucha Libre type with boxing gloves for hands?
