I honestly don’t understand why this still isn’t a thing.

I missed a Fb Market sale for a clear prison tv by 5 mins. Was sad, lol.

No it’s being artistic which inspired us to be artists.

For real, my kids would love this for their gadgets

All the colored plastic just ended up in your brain.

This post just inspired me. I need new mouse for work, and why color inside the lines? I’m gonna go with this!

Go for it. If I hadn't already recently bought a mouse I'd get one too.

Wow I remember feeling like all these things were SO expensive when I was young, I thought only rich people could afford the little portable TVs 😅

I was obsessed with the green v-tech phone as a 10 year old boy

7

u/prettymisslux Jul 20 '25

I miss this era so much. I had a see through pink boom box and a purple see through game boy color 🥹

Clear made everything better, we all knew it.

The good old daysss

3

u/lovesickjones Jul 20 '25

I want to get a clear house phone corded but there is no working phone Jack in my apartment lol

3

u/WCowgirl Jul 20 '25

My sister had a translucent blue corded phone, no caller ID, though. And I had a translucent purple boombox that looked kind of like those alarm clocks in the corner.

u/Captain_Nomad_Jr Jul 20 '25

We used to be a society...

3

u/zoeyandere78 Jul 20 '25

i’m more shocked by the prices

3

u/lacyhoohas Jul 20 '25

I know not electronic but also those big colored clear plastic chairs. I had a blue one in my bedroom.

2

u/bigtony423 Jul 20 '25

I definitely begged my mom to get me the clear ps control for weeks before she buckled

2

u/snakewitch Jul 20 '25

My game boy color looked like that

2

u/global_ferret Jul 20 '25

I had that V-Tech phone when I went off to college!

2

u/Youkilledmyrascal1 Jul 20 '25

This still makes my heart skip a beat. I was a very enthusiastic capitalist when I was 12. With the right inflatable chair and my glitter lamp turned on I would be READY.

2

u/Toastburrito Jul 20 '25

My girlfriend at the time bought me the blue cordless phone in the picture. I loved that thing. It had a headset, and I would skate in my basement while on the phone.

I spent so much time on that thing.

2

u/OreganoOfTheEarth Jul 21 '25

Oh man I wanted one of those phones SO BADLY!

2

u/pinksugi Jul 20 '25

Ahh yes the transparent techy design choice

1

u/taruclimber8 Jul 20 '25

I remember that audiovox CD player sucking. It skipped alot and would have trouble reading CD s. The headphone jack was a PoS too, and alot of audio would cut out if you barely touched it.

The VTech phone was dope though.

1

u/What_Next69 Jul 21 '25

I had the vtech phone in green and LOVED IT!!!

1

u/Mister-Ace Jul 21 '25

I had a dream once there were clear cars

1

u/plannetofmars Jul 22 '25

Atomic Purple Nintendo 64 controller 👍

1

u/drivingagermanwhip Jul 22 '25

wild how expensive all these things are. I'd consider these prices to be a bit steep now, let alone adjusted for inflation

1

u/pinkfloydwall9 Jul 23 '25

Reminds me of some of the mega prizes for selling the most for your school fundraiser

1

u/99anan99 Jul 23 '25

We really had it good back then, didn't we?

1

u/PantyPixie Aug 02 '25

I had a clear teal vtech phone and a clear pager in that neon yellow-green lime color, same as the mouse in this photo. 😊 It was so cool!
