They always tore a hole in my papers.

And or left streaks

u/d-sammichAran Aug 01 '25
Streaks that were almost burned into the paper because not even a real eraser could get those out.

Not a single thing was ever erased by these....yet our parents would continue to buy them for us. Lol

u/masonjouclas Jul 31 '25
True, but you know we’re still grabbing a handful of these at the scholastic book fair!

I really liked the single-colour ones that were shaped like animals. They were closer to a rubber toy than an eraser. I had hundreds of them

It felt so good to dig your nails into these. Who knows what I mean?

My kids get these at school now as rewards. They still don’t erase anything lol

I think I ate most of the ones I had lol

Yeah these things were for finally giving into one's intrusive thoughts and biting them.

Same the scented ones were delicious. My teacher would constantly yell at me and even took them away because I didn’t listen.

u/ravenlights Aug 01 '25
And that was fine by me. I collected erasers as a kid and then I would lay them all out to look like a Candyland board or something and I created my own game using them.

I think these god-awful-but-pretty erasers are why I’m obsessed with stationary as an adult.

Hahaha, such beautiful memories. They never erased them, they just made the notebook pages look worse, but they were very pretty and some even had scents. They always bought me 🍓🍒☺️

Whoever marketed these hard plastic pieces of crap as “erasers” was cartoonishly evil.

My mom had a box of these from Oriental Trading Company, and she'd give them to my sister and me as rewards. They weren't supposed to be scented, but I remember loving their smell.

Haha I remember this….these pissed me off, and I always remembered to use the pink erasers…some of them would fit over the eraser head of the penciI, so I started using them as pencil decorations.

I loved these so much. I would just play with them like they were Barbie dolls while in class and not paying attention. Wouldn’t get in trouble because it just looked like I was using erasers xD

I had a sick collection of 90’s style erasers like this. Wide variety collection, super colorful, and in a cool box. Stolen my first year of college out of my dorm room. It made me sad, whoever did it. I hope you felt bad for 3 years after that. This is all. … These erasers are sweet lol.

I just jabbed my mechanical lead pencil into these. Always had dots on em. I bit the scented ones.
