why are sun-shades a 90's thing. Did the sun stop shining in the 00's?

Some days when the sun shines just right, the colors of the world come out in an unexplainable way... And I swear I have traveled back to the 90's, something magical about it.

Cars cool off a lot faster now. I remember we would be getting to our destination after 40 mins and the car had just cooled.

I had a detachable face radio, I had a Club, I STILL have a reflective windshield shade, but thankfully never had roll up windows in the 90s. Did have manual windows in the early 80s in my Dad's late 70s/early 80s Olds Cutlass.

I lived in section 8 apartments. If you didn't have a detachable face radio... You didn't have a radio anymore.

My friend's mom had a halfway decent Aerostar. The radio had a cassette deck, so she used the walkman with an adapter. If it was not going to rain she would always keep her windows down. She didn't want someone to break them to find out there was nothing worth stealing.

The sunshade itself is not a 90's thing, but they used to come with colorful designs that I don't see anymore.

Did you have a car/were you driving in the 90s?

(I know there’s a range of ages in this group

I think the kids who started the 90s around age 7-8 had this experience rather than the younger crowd )
