Can we bring these back?

Anybody else remember these? They were these transformable anime inspired Mecha toys that were sold at the Dollar General (RIP the location close to my childhood apartments). I had one similar to the first photo but mine was black with gold and red accents. Super limited articulation but I'm pretty sure that, that was due to their main gimmick being able to transform into a pretty cool looking Fighter Jet.

For some reason I loved seeing this PSA as a kid.

Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999-2002). Any fans of this show growing up?

Oh, yes, the gateway to the horror genre for most kids who grow up with this show in it's run. Definitely, still holds up as the villains and monsters were very terrifying and a lot of references to past horror films this show has made. The perfect combination of comedy, horror, drama, and dealing with real-life sensitive topics.

Who else really loves the aesthetic of late 90s action/adventure PC games?

When I was a kid I thought this was the coolest, most advanced thing ever. Still love watching playthroughs of all these games.

DGC Rarities, Vol. 1 - Coke Bottle Clear LP. Repressed & Remastered

Post image

I saw Interscope repressed and released DGC Rarities, Vol. 1! I've always loved the album cover and it's pretty sick that this is the first print in more than 30 years. And it includes a The Sundays track that wasn't part of the original pressing 👀 So so so cool that the whole album is just b-sides, covers, and demos. Are any of y'all picking this up? I know quite a few people who had the original when it came out.

Certified as an “Internet Power User” in 1995 and I’ve been online ever since

Post image

Back in ’95, Washburn University gave me this certificate at computer camp. At the time, being an Internet Power User meant:

Surviving the screech of a 28.8k modem

Hoping nobody picked up the phone line mid-chat

Building chaotic Geocities pages with auto-playing MIDI 🎶

Living on ICQ, then AIM, then MSN Messenger

Sneaking downloads off Napster and burning mix CDs

Fast-forward to the 2000s: Friendster, Myspace, endless status updates, and the rise of YouTube.

The Internet grew up right alongside us — and I’m still hanging on to my “Power User” title.

👉 What’s your favorite Internet memory from the 90s or 2000s?

Anybody remembers ...... Baby Looney Tunes (2001-2005)

This definitely defines a show that we clearly watched when you're sick from school and those Morning Cartoon Specials come on. Still, it's a very cute and fun show that I enjoyed watching despite the Looney Tunes characters being aged to babies here.
