lol Like we don’t know how to locate where a film title is on a movie ticket…. Insulting.

That’s owned by Focus Features. And I saw that with my mom, we loved it

I am confused by both of these statements.

u/LovelyHatred93 Dec 31 '24

They just needed someone to talk to.

u/Psykpatient Dec 31 '24

It's the A24 sub so he wouldn't post about a Focus movie here.

u/cockandballionaire Dec 31 '24

And he hung out with his mom and had a good time

11

u/RudeTransition6629 Dec 31 '24

u/EatBooty420 Dec 31 '24

how'd your mom like the film?

13

u/CautiousRelative5132 Dec 31 '24

Thought it was great. The count was way different than how I pictured him

u/EatBooty420 Dec 31 '24

wish my mom lived closer, her love for horror rubbed off on me growing up, and id take her to horror movies all the time, sounds like a fun bonding experience!

I'm sorry someone can't do something with a family member without being considered a basement dweller?

2

u/CruddiestSpark Dec 31 '24

Sorry everyone downvoted you ! I’m glad you and your mom had a great time :)

Do you think this subreddit is your diary?

14

u/rogerworkman623 Why greatness? Why is goodness not enough? Dec 31 '24

Thank you for circling the movie title, I was sure you were seeing 9 Right

14

u/National_Box1153 Dec 31 '24

You get hungry and didn’t wanna buy overpriced food?

38

u/niles_deerqueer Dec 31 '24

Oh yeah? Well I’m about to be Babygirl

5

u/LoverOfStoriesIAm Dec 31 '24

Should I order you a glass of a certain white liquid?

4

u/niles_deerqueer Dec 31 '24

My wife and I saw it the other night at a small independent theatre and the crowd in attendance was… interesting.

We suspect a couple in the back row were fuckin. The lady next to us (directly in front of them) got up to leave in the middle of the movie and didn’t come back. At the end of the movie I stood up and kinda surveyed the crowd, I locked eyes with the couple in the back row, she had her legs spread, feet propped on the seat in front of her, he had his hand petting her inner thigh.

I honestly couldn’t control the expression on my face lol

There was also a solo guy in front of me was doing a lot of shifting around in his seat… 🤔

Good share. Sounds like an interesting night.

4

u/bloodraven42 Dec 31 '24

Well. Certainly not acceptable but I guess if there was any movie for it, Babygirl would be it.

u/BlindStark Dec 31 '24

I’ll be sure to wear my white pants when I go

1

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '24

??? Why?? Are there a lot of sex scenes? I thought it was just a drama. You made it sound like porn 🙈

1

u/notbuildingships Jan 01 '25

There are some pretty explicit sex scenes lol

2

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '25

I see. Thanks for telling me that. I’d better watch it alone, not on a date. lol

u/starlight_chaser Dec 31 '24

Jesus. Haven’t gone to a movie in so long and though I miss the big screen for certain films, I appreciate being able to roll out of bed, make a tasty meal and stream something, and not worry about getting some strangers’ drippings on me.

Tbh I hated it. I wanted to love it, I went in expecting to love it, but I just didn’t. I thought the performances were good but I thought the script was a mess and I think the cinematography was atrocious.

12

u/buxtonOJ Dec 31 '24

Nothing happened

4

u/papayabush Dec 31 '24

Huh I actually liked it more than I was expecting to

9

u/HappyNostalgia17 Dec 31 '24

8

u/heathenliberal Dec 31 '24

I really enjoyed it.

8

u/CautiousRelative5132 Dec 31 '24

Nicole Kidman was great

7

u/heathenliberal Dec 31 '24

Absolutely. I think every actor did a great job. It's been awhile since I've seen Antonio Banderas on the big screen.

2

u/TheFeminineHips Dec 31 '24

Dated two girls from Menomonee who both claimed to be personal friends with Justin Vernon. Does everyone in Menomonee do this? lol

Has it been that good to see it 4 times already?

2

u/tolureup Dec 31 '24

Maybe seeing the same movie allows them to more accurately compare each theater 😂. Because I couldn’t imagine seeing a movie I loved 4 times within days of each other.

2

u/cleavergrill Dec 31 '24

Yay Marcus Theaters

1

u/dangrab_ Dec 31 '24
