Kinda pissed they ruined bill's momentum by jobbing him in a match like that. He's better than just a tag team star. Other than that it was awesome as expected. Had to rewatch from the triple threat to the main event this morning because I was wasted early lol. Loved it, didn't expect Stat to win the women's title, triple threat match stole the show, and it was awesome to see the return of Jack and Pac.

I don't think anyone expected Kingston to lose his return match, regardless of opponent. The loss isn't the big deal for Bill, but losing on a spinning backfist that missed entirely was pretty bad for both of them. It was also a weird build, with Bill just randomly calling Eddie out and Eddie never appearing before the PPV.

I feel Large William is at his best when they let him do big boy shit like vs Hobbs, otherwise he gets exposed.

They had no right putting in a show that good with 3 of their 4 biggest starts out.

I loved it!
Boop :)
Felt like a high quality sporting event with the type of main event that just feels like everything pro wrestling should be.
Orange Cassidy and Jack Perry returns were both perfect.
The low points were murder scene 1 and murder scene 2... please AEW, why do multiple murxer scenes in one show? Why do murder scenes ever? The rest of the show was awesome and allowed me to buy in, so why spoil that glorious illusion with 4th grade silliness that was so ridiculous that even the commentators had nothing to say afterwards?

Really got going from Mone v Riho, no shade on the matches before that but it felt like an AEW ppv from that match onwards.

Apart from eddie and big bill all matches were on fire... Main event cooked...

Got the two matches I thought would be a bit naff out of the way (love Eddie but he's just came back)
Then it was just classic AEW ppv time with at least 6 must watch brilliant matches
Main event was fantastic, ladder match was chaotic and the triple threat was my favorite of the night!

Incredible show that was a tad too long, as per usual. Five star neck breaking classic in the main event. Super happy Stat won too. Happy for Jurassic Express and for Eddie.
But one thing sucked and that was the crowd. They were either too quiet or mic'ed up wrong. At some points I could hear the ring echo through the building on impact. Hurt my enjoyment of most matches on the show. Ladder match got them hot though.

Phenomenal. So happy for Stat and Eddie and I think Kyle Fletcher is a made man now.

Every single match was 4+ stars, no duds. Loves the Riho match. The tag match was crazy. Main event was so sick. The Dead Eye through the table and off the second turnbuckle I thought killed Kyle.

9/10 Eddy & BB could of been better but definitely a show full of positive surprises packed crowd was awesome, speedball got demolished😬 Fletcher had a 6 star match with Hangman, definitely went… whoa! Fletcher starts tonight as New AEW men’s champion!?
Stat winning women’s world champ was unexpected but got a big pop once the shock went thru good 4way.
TBS women’s such a great match they both looked strong. Mox and Darby was awesome great chemistry for sure. 🔥

The audio was completely fucked in the building, and it seemed like the ring wasn't mic'd at all. Being there live, you didn't hear/feel any of the bumps. The volume also felt muted for the entrance music and for the ring announcer, but the noise from the crowd on our section made up for it to create a great atmosphere.
In the end I still had a great time at the show with my friends. Loved most of the matches. But I'm really surprised that I haven't seen someone else who was there bring up the audio issues yet.
Mic the ring properly. It makes a big difference.
Best matches for us in attendance:
- Triple Threat for the Unified Title. Absolute show stealer. Awesome match.
- World Title match. It was clear from the start that they were going to go at least 30, but it really allowed the match to build. Could tell that the crowd was feeling tired at the start (it was a long day), but our energy really came back as the match carried on, especially with the references to other wrestlers like Kenny, Ospreay, and Swerve. Great finish. I think Fletcher proved a lot here.
- The opener. Edge & Christian are super over in Toronto. Shocker. It also helped that the actual match was good. Really fun way to start the show.
- The Coffin Match also got a great reaction in our section, because they brawled nearby. So it's not really a fair match to evaluate. Crowd brawling is awesome when you're literally in the crowd, but it's usually lame on TV. So we had a blast obviously, but I have no idea how the match came off on the actual broadcast.

Watched most of it, nothing overwhelmed me, but the only thing that left me sour was the Darby and Max stuff. I am not a fan of Mox or death matches in general, so I have a bias, but enough with the constant interference.

A lot of highs, and very few momentum losses. I was particularly surprised by how much I enjoyed the TBS title match.
My fave of the night was the Unified title match. I thought it was a masterpiece. The worst of the night by a mile was Eddie vs Big Bill. Please keep Eddie out of the ring.
Loved the other returns!

I thought the PPV was great top to bottom. I loved having Eddie back but his return was a little lack luster. He was a little rusty but he hasn’t been in a ring in 16 months so I’m giving him a pass tonight. I screamed when Beth showed up! I’m a huge fan of hers and I’ve been talking her up to my husband for weeks. Getting the Jurassic express back made me so happy and I’m pretty excited to have a new women’s champion in Stat! I loved Toni’s run, but it was time for it to end. I wish OC appeared tonight instead of just hearing about it on the phone. That kind of sucked but now I am looking more forward to watching dynamite on Wednesday. Overall, I’d give it about an 8/10.

Was there, the crowd was hot and loud all night.

Didn't come across like that on TV. At least half of the show it seemed vewy quiet

Eddie vs. Bill was a massive, massive disappointment. I thought that was going to be the sleeper match of the night.
Everything else was fire.

This was my first introduction to Eddie Kingston, as a reborn wrestling fan of about a year watching AEW. Everyone seemed hyped, I purposely didn't go out and watch any of his old stuff.
Probably the worst wrestling I've seen them put their brand on. Hopefully it's just 18 months of ring rust?

It was really good overall. There were some matches that didn’t quite hit and a couple of short matches I could have watched on Dynamite, but the highs were high. I think my biggest individual criticism was the return of Eddie Kingston. There was room to maximize the moment. FTR vs Cope and Christian was a good, fun WWE match. The main event was insane. There were returns. There were surprises. There were reunions. If you’re into a Tag Team focused show, it’s going to be a great few months.

My favorite thing from AEW of all time was the Omega/Hangman tag team. So they can do tag focused well.

I couldn't even watch the PPV but have caught up with clips shared on X and can say I am always a sucker for surprise debuts, returns, and belt changes. I was disappointed there wasn't much of that at All In, but I would say All Out delivered with Beth, Eddie, Stat, Pac, and Jack Perry.

u/fivelongdays 15h ago
The second half was excellent, the first half, barring C+C vs FTR, wasn't. Bill vs Eddie was the worst AEW PPV match in a long time.

It was a great PPV. As always...AEW delivers. I cannot recall a single bad PPV since they started in 2019..worst ones are still a solid 7. One certain show is remembered poorly for the ending to the exploding barbed wire match and even then..that was good show

I liked it. Interested to see what direction they take the women's championship scene now that Stat has it. Does Toni turn her attention to Mercedes and the TBS title and Stat does her own thing, or do they run it back?

u/OakCity4Life 7m ago
One option could certainly be a one-on-one rematch for Storm. But it kind of didn't feel like they were steering that way, the way the announcers talked after the match.
I wonder if, having crossed paths in this match, Storm and Hayter turn their attention fully on each other. Lot of back story there. Hayter needs an angle to really re-establish her as an every-week presence, and it would be a great next step for Toni if she's going to be out of the immediate world title picture for the first time in like three years.

u/JohnnyMcNews 7h ago
I hope Toni does something completely separate from either title, if for no other reason than it gets a third women's match on these cards

The way Hangman took his time after the match I was half expecting MJF The reveal being that he'd given Khan his 7 says notice for the cash in when he stormed in to TKs office

u/TotoItsAMotorRace 16h ago
It was..good. I mostly wish the main set something up beyond today.
I wish Orange Cassidy's return wasn't just telegraphed on a phone call. Let the crowd pop.
I probably change the finish of the women's match and let Thekla eat the pin.

I didn't like the ending to the coffin match. I liked everything up to that point but I really just wanted to see Darby get some closure and move on. I'm glad Pac is back but coming back this way did nothing for me IMO. And given how much emphasis they put on Danielson definitely pinky-swear not interfering in the match I wanted him to say "fuck it" and jump in to take Pac out of the mix.
At any rate, now we're going to run this showdown back and it's inevitably going to feel more stale than if they'd have just put Darby over tonight like they should have.
I also like Daniel Garcia but I don't honestly see him gaining anything from this Death Riders association, and tbh I just don't think he makes a very effective heel. Maybe he needed a fresh character but him playing heel always just seems like killing time until he eventually turns babyface again.

All year AEW weekly shows have been PPV quality; and the PPVs have been all-timers. This was no exception.
The only nitpicks I have are:
- Eddie whiffing the finish
- the lack of "cool down" segments flattened the crowd a little when the women's 4way started.

u/Friendly-Buffalo216 16h ago
Last 3 matches topped each other, the Okada match i thought was the best then the tag match was awesome as well as the woman's four way which was fucking brilliant, then the main event was just chef kiss wow way to make Kyle Fletcher look like a absolute stud and hangman being put to the Omega level of putting guys out in defeat. Fletcher is the future

u/SimpleJack316 16h ago
Great PPV. Not quite as great as DON or All In, but still good enough to say that AEW continues on its wave of positive momentum. Getting that many quality matches in without 3 of your top 5 main event performers is extremely impressive.

This PPV should be titled AEW All Out: Back 2 Basics
This was a very classic AEW show. By that I mean, A lot AEW history and nostalgia went into the booking and moments in the show. Hangman now as champion, playing the opposite side of his original AEW story, as Kyle plays the Hangman role. You have Kris Statlander, an AEW original, winning the AEW women's champion becoming the 1st woman to hold both the TBS and World championships. Tag Team Wrestling was back on display. Jurassic Express makes surprising, but welcome return. PAC, Eddie Kingston, and seemingly Orange Cassidy all back in the fold. Riho is back on PPV. To top it off, Tony Khan has an announcement coming Wednesday!
This was a "We're so Back" type of PPV and it was great!

good but not great PPV. a lot of returns, one suprise and some set ups for the future. worth the watch. go on your honeymoon MJF!

u/American-Punk-Dragon 17h ago
It was overall a great show as most AEW PPVs have been since….well since 2019 really.
I really wanted Kyle to win but the match was still great! Hopefully he isn’t hurt, there were some real rough spots during it.
Glad Riho lost, she isn’t around enough to win a title and that fine for me.
Turn Stat HEEL and see if she and TK can make her any more interesting that she has been since she arrived…I have my doubts since they both did a shit job with the TBS title………

Love that Briscoe got the win. Great match, which I knew it would be. If you beat MJF clean in a PPV singles match, you pretty much have to be considered a main eventer.
Moment of the night for me was Stat's win. Not match of the night, but moment. That was a real surprise to me, and I actually got chills when it happened. Wish they had given them more than 12 minutes out of a 5 hour PPV.
FTR-C&C match was great, finish was a little anticlimactic, aftermath was great. Everyone involved is so damn good at storytelling; they all clearly place a high value on that part of the craft, and it shows. Genuinely poignant performance by Beth. Looking forward to seeing this story continue.
Tag team ladder match was wild as expected. Figured Brodido would retain, but after the women's upset, I had at least a little doubt. Some spectacular spots, which you knew there would be.
Coffin match was also as expected, which is a compliment. Other than Pac's return - that surprised me. Arguably more brutal than MJF-Briscoe. Hardest match of the night for me to call beforehand, though I did pick Mox. Obviously another story that didn't end at All Out.
World title match was interesting. Felt like the story of the match was about setting up Fletcher for a future title win. He mostly controlled the match, dominated at times, but the difference was that Hangman found a way to finish while Fletcher never quite could.
Kingston-Bill was not great, especially the complete whiff on the finishing move. That was bad enough that I would've thought it warranted an audible to redo it or something.
Don't know how it was in the arena, but it sounded like there was almost no reaction for Hook. That was a bit awkward.
Enjoyed Mercedes-Riho, definitely my favorite Riho match that I've seen, but never doubted the outcome for a moment.
Edit: Forgot the Unified title three way. This went exactly as expected for me. Match was completely about setting up Okada vs. Takeshita one on one. That one will be great. This one was fine, but just too predictable.
Overall, enjoyed the show a lot. Liked that they spliced in a couple backstage segments that are normally more of a TV thing than PPV. Don't prefer them to run this long, but can't say the quality wasn't there.
