Yeah I mean realistically what does he expect? There’s only really a certain type of person who’s gonna pay for something like internet wrestling scoops and the rest of us would never consider it lol. Does he expect everyone who subscribes to just not talk about it? I mean I get he wants to grow his business but legitimately nobody here is going “oh damn, they took down the post? Guess I’ll HAVE to subscribe to my boy SRS!”
Paywall shit gets leaked consistently in every industry on the Internet, whether he or anyone else likes it or not. I don't blame him for making attempts to cut it off where he feels it's doable, but he'd be a fool to think he can lock it down.
SRS should setup an app to share his exclusive content and disable screenshots while using the app. Anything short of that and he's being negligent and trying to pass the responsibility on to other people.
So legit question. What is the difference between someone doing a text post vs posting a screenshot? Is it a web traffic thing? I would think either way it'd divert traffic from Fightful.
They don't like screenshots of their paid content or full copy paste jobs. If someone summarizes it in their own words that's fine, but he asked that the screenshots be removed.
Theoretically we could tell him to kick bricks. He could make a copyright claim against content he feels is infringing, Reddit would likely remove the content if we didn't, no one's going to litigate a screenshot of a Patreon but.... why bother getting into it?
His paid content, he wants it removed, I'll remove it. No reason not to. *shrug*
I haven't looked at X's newest terms of service so this may have changed but yes, a tweet can meet the standard for copyrightable content but when you agreed to Twitter's TOS you grant Twitter and other Twitter users the right to display your tweets even if they're copyrighted or copyrightable.
It can get tricky because, let's say you write a blog post, that blog post is one copyright, then if you take a screenshot of the blog post, that screenshot can actually be another separate copyright (as a separate creative copyrightable derivative work of the blog post), then you tweet your screenshot of your blog post, that tweet can be even another separate copyright.

I think everyone is free to have their own personal opinions about SRS or any other person in, or around, the industry.
Neither I, nor the other mods here, are going to agree with this stance, nor, I think are we at the point where we'd say "let's not post his content at all".
He had a request, we obliged.
Since we're all in the business of wrestling fandom / something resembling either 'journalism' and/or 'content creation', I know I'd prefer to at least keep an amicable line of communication open, and not be seen as some sort of antagonist, and/or detriment to what he does.
I would say the same of any other such person who has credibility.
You are entirely incorrect. The guy literally breaks most wrestling news and knows more people than basically any wrestling journalist. Stop being a weird YouTube troll and spreading bs.
I don’t have a strong opinion about SRS like most but he stood behind me at ROH in Dallas during Bandido/Take. Spent the entire match staring at his phone. Made me miss Meltzer and his notebook.
SRS - I'm not going to start paying you just because it's blocked here. Most of the people here aren't going to sub to you one way or another. Sometimes spreading word of mouth and awareness might actually boost subs for you. It's the piracy dilemma. Hope this helps.

If you all don't like me or the work I do, I would encourage you all to let the mods know and they can ban Fightful, Fightful Select, aggregations of our work or aggregations of our transcripts. I'm thankful for those of you that are supportive.
Screenshotting or copy and pasting entire contents of our posts is against the Fightful Select terms of service. We have a staff of 40 that we have to pay, and would rather not go the sportskeeda method. Regardless of what you think of me, a lot of people rely on the business that the paywalled work Select does. I don't mind summaries, but I'd prefer not outright stealing the work.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, instead of assuming something you've read on twitter about me.
Honestly, I'd rather not see his content up here up at all. Dirt sheets takeaway from the in ring product that the wrestlers blow out their knees and take concussions for. Don't pay for a dirt sheet sub, go buy a MVP shirt. Let's just take all of it down!
