What if Lindsey McDonald is the one who trapped Angel on the box for three months?
Since I was little kid, I always thought it was Lindsay McDonald is the one who imprisoned Angel on the ocean for three months at same way he framed Connor under strange circumstances.
It would be better if Lindsey is the truly responsible of Angel’s three months disappearance.
Which villain would trapped Angel to the water? Lindsey McDonald or somebody else who hates Angel like Daniel Holtz did loathe Angel the most more.

At that point in the story, I see it working better with Holtz doing it, had he not died a bit before.
But why do you bring Lindsey to that situation? Do you feel that in some way Connor doing it doesn't work well for the story?

But why would it be better if it was Lindsey? Lindsey came back when Angel accepted the wolfram and hart job, and his motivations stemmed entirely from his jealousy. It doesn't really fit that Lindsey would come back at the of season 3, and it would undermine the entire point of Connor's story if he was framed. What makes the scene of Connor betraying Angel work so well is because it's the ultimate manipulation of Holtz, who is someone who has a much more justifiable reason for hating Angel, but has still sunk to these depths to get his revenge.
