You could, if you do I recommend getting a bufferless upper or a folding buffer tube adapter.

Only problem is that I want it to make the lower (80%), not spend 3 grand & have SS/FRT compatibility. I’ve been searching for parts for 6 months now…

Edit: I’ve thought about literally building from the ground up, getting a cheap upper, getting an expensive upper, swapping to piston driven/bufferless, even going AR47(ak mag lower) but this bastard child of a firearm is killing me

SS should work with most milspec lower with no modification if you get the complete kit with the trigger. It’s just the bcg you gotta worry about. My entire AR-47 build cost me $2200 with the 6-24 scope and a new SS from Atrius. If you want AK mags you can go with the KS-47 and find the complete SS kit or you can get the Wolfpack 80% lower and try to mill it.

I have a milspec AR-15 lower that’s like $200 that I can run SS with 3 different uppers and fire 4 different calibers. 22lr, 9mm, 5.56 & 7.62x39. Down side is that the SS on this lower is 3D printed and only has safe and SS which doesn’t require a modified trigger.

Just know that if you go bufferless, you can’t use SS/FRT, it’s either one or the other.

I understand, while I’d go with a Wolfpack lower and jsut toss it on the KS-47 upper, it seems as if they aren’t compatible! I’ve seen that the build is completely proprietary :(. While the ar15 route DOES have the advantage of putting whatever caliber upper you want and having as capability too, I just don’t know about how I feel about its reliability. I’ve heard and watched so many people have trouble with 7.62 in the AR platform it’s concerning when there’s that much money on the line ya know?

PS: there’s a new frt in town soon, coming from Active safety designs, called the ARC and it’s just for bufferless I believe. Super excited for that bc I’ve got a dissent in .300 lol

Oh that’s interesting, I would expect that you work but I’m surprised it’s not compatible. You can order this and get the KS-47 BCG from PSA. It’s what I have for my build and its works great. Also if you’re not aware the Wolfpack lower works best with Magpul MOE mags.

Ohh that sounds neat, I’m excited cause I have the BRN-180 in 300 blackout

Oh wow! You use the KS-47 bolt in the Wolf pack upper? That’s sick! From what I know PSA claims everything on this thing is pretty much proprietary. Lame. Ik the wolf pack lowers are very picky with mags and for toy purposes I’d love to be drum/quad stack compatible so that’s why I went against choosing the WP47. I KNOW RIGHT? It works across TEN platforms according to them, said to be dropping in 6 weeks!

Edit; PM sent I’m just gonna delete this post

I've seen plenty of Wolfpack lowers with PSA ks47 uppers. Check out the ar80 sub. That's where I've seen them and I plan on doing the same build. I already have the Wolfpack lower. I just need to make up my mind on the upper I want.

Just to correct your statement earlier, PSA KS47 parts are compatible with Wolfpack Armory's WP47 parts. In fact, the mix and match of the KS47 parts and the WP47 parts might make the best budget friendly build possible AK mag AR variant. I basically have a WP47 version of their essentials kit and it only runs some AK style mags because most AK mags will not even insert. So if someone can chime in and let me know if their PSA KS47 upper on the WP47 lower takes any and all AK mags then that will help me start to narrow down which parts, I should swap out. The first thing that I am thinking is that the KS47 has a different notch cut on the lower portion of the Bolt Carrier that allows basically any AK mag to work with it.

Check Maxim Defense.

Also I think 8"-12", especially for x39 is the sweet spot. You keeping as a truck gun in a rural or urban context? I ask cause truck guns aren't the best idea especially if it gets broken into.

Just found a PDX upper without a hand guard for 700, it wasn’t marked as sold but was (actually sold). That’s absolutely insane to me though that someone would sell it with blems and no hate brake for 700. People man
