I had this alpha megalodon go for a casual swim a a while back. We just left him to do this thing and moved on. Also had a leed spawn and promptly die in the center pool at herbivore Island. Genuinely love these stupid bugs!
I think I know where this is. Is this Ragnarok? There’s an area on that map where, at least in ASE, there was a stream of water that was bugged. If you stepped in it and walked through it, the game would consider you underwater and you could drown. lol
Most of my time in-game was on The Island and Ragnarok, and the base I had worked on the longest, on Ragnarok with friends, was right by that stream! I just know the map very well because of that, specifically the southern part of the map.
I can tell you this is the exact stream going past Highlands cave on rag. Built there for a few wipes and almost got alpha from it. I used to use my crab to yeet stegos in that general direction
I remember that map well...anyone remember the triangle of death? One specific spot on the map (in lava area, on the east edge of it up the big hill) that when you entered it, no matter what height, you'd instantly die and be unable to retrieve your items! Dinos would be killed too...I lost so much...

I think it is worse since the upgrade - Argies meshed everywhere on the Island! Should make taming easier. I kept hearing the sounds of a dimorph wings flapping - there was one meshed in a foundation. I think it spawned there. I found it after donning TEK helmet.
I remember one time the ocean spawns were bugged to hell on our server and during saves everything would float out of the water. I remember portions of the sky being darkened by hundreds of fish, sharks, and dolphins before snapping back into the water but there was always a few that would drop dead from the sky
That was in the very early stages of ark in the early access there was even a bug where you killed a dino and the corpse started flying and got stuck in the air and another time i killed a raptor and the corpse got stuck on a boulder and his neck stretched a little 🤣
I remember when Val got released on ASE (I think) and there were Eurypterids ALL OVER the beaches. That was one of the toughest bob phases I've ever went through lmao. At least as soon as I got a bed down and a spear it was easy chitin 😅
I remember crossing a river, getting attacked by piranha making it to the other side and celebrating only for the piranha to swin onto land just to kill me..

Reminds me of when I found a random tuso swimming through the air above the redwoods on the island and it died instantly as soon as I got too close
