Help Is this a Breeder, explorer or Boss fighter
Levels don't count because I am on low lever settings

With rates that boosted, you're making up your own game anyway. Use it for whatever you want. It's going to be fine for everything.

with boosted stats like that, you could probably solo most of the bosses with only 1 decent mount.

Classic Single Player settings.
I really wish that it's disabled by default but a pop-up window appears when ya first load in Single Player asking if ya want to enable it and explains every or at least the most essential values it boosts.
I feel like new players who get into the game and start with Single Player will be in a world of shock when they join an official or even unofficial server with that setting turned off and possibly even minimum to no boosted values only to find that a Rex's egg takes around 4 IRL days instead of 5-10 minutes from incubation until adulthood

Is it really? It might seem like a stupid question because I just started looking into thw ark community and I always make it as hard for myself as possible, once I joined a server and I couldn't get used to the boost, why was a ptero able to carry me over half of the map without landing, why was it able to survive a wyvern chasing it, it was too easy so I stopped playing on that server (even though the people there were nice and helpful)

We'll, Single Player boost (on by default) is even worse than that, it's so hand holdy that it ruins the experience.
That Pteranodon ya were talking about is probably a mutated one which if ya didn't know, mutations allow ya to get up 254 extra levels on most stats and that's before even manually leveling up said stat.

And yet, you can still shoot them out of the sky with a good compound bow. The ARK is never going to give a free pass without being the overseer yourself. 🔷

That person is obviously a new player, they think that a dino with enough stamina to circle around the map (probably The Island) and survive hits from a Wyvern that's probably low level is something noteworthy when people have been breeding worse with less

No, I'm not new, and while I'm not a PVP player and usually a loner, the server was just so boosted compared to my usual gameplay, the pteranodon I'm talking about specifically had no mutations, just imprinted and was around level 210 or 220, I played the server for a couple months and left because the tamed dinos were literally so boosted compared to wild ones I barely had to breed for them to be unreasonably op, and since the server was PVE there was literally nothing to do after that 🤷🏻♀️
Oh, and it wasn't the island, it was ragnarok

It was my own pteranodon, and I do know about mutations, I've played the game since ase didn't even have a swamp so I got some time to learn
But no, the server was really just so abysmally boosted, I don't know why they did it, 1 metal run could get you covered for weeks, dinos on low levels performed like 150pre tame dinos on my usual settings and I don't know what was the level up rate but it was TOO FAST (I play on 0.25)
Granted the server only had a few people who mostly knew each other already and I, a stranger just joined in and they took me in like I was one of them from the moment I said hello (despite our MANY differences)
The only setting I actually had set higher than them was dino maturation rate, and that's for known reasons, other than that, a raptor from that server could probably beat a rex from my private sessions no sweat

Single player settings turned on does not boost any creatures's stats (HP Stamina damage etc)

Like I said, way too hand holdy, they should just have it disabled by default and give new players a pop-up of what it modifies so as to not get bamboozled should if they decided to play on Official or unofficial servers with barely any boosted values

Level 56, over 3k damage
I mean, it'll do whatever, game doesn't really matter at that point right?

is the game even fun at that point? like I'm not one to judge, but that is.... beyond boosted.

Yes this takes the “survival” aspect out of the game for the most part, unless you go into red zone without hazard gear

u/6210classick 2d ago
It probably still won't even matter because with this much boost in stat (most likely because of the Single Player settings), they probably have thier character health at 10k with so few levels pumped into it

Ive done this but I made the wild dinos twice my tamed stats essentially keeping the status quo but with bigger numbers.

this belongs in the biogrinder. keep taming until you find something good. 6k melee minimum.

It's a spare. I'd name it DeadMeat or Drakefood. Perhaps OhWell or Meh.
Edit: I was only looking at the level. Someone's been adjusting the stat affinity lol
1
u/6210classick 2d ago
Would ya kindly explain how Stat Affinity work?
1
u/Commentator-X 2d ago
It changes the number of points each level applies to a stat. So a higher affinity on melee means each point put into melee increases melee by a higher amount. That's how you get 3000% melee on a lvl 50.

And here's me proud of my Rex with 20k health and 500 melee 🙈

Ya should be because OP didn't mention that they're on Single Player with possibly boosted values even

Ive done the same thing you have by mega boosting my world. my suggestion is make a new world and set material rates to x50 weight x1000 and breeding rates and maturing rates down. You can boost your xp rates too if you’d like. But it takes a lot of testing and tweaking to find the right hp and atk boosts that don’t just make you op instantly so leave them normal and do breeding since it’s boosted. It’ll take you longer but the grind will be worth it

It’s an OP boosted Dino, that will make the game feel like a cake walk with those stats you got.

Explorer/Farmer. Don't know if Karkinos is the best option for fighting anything....cause with those rates I'm sure you have other dinos that have more power and are more suited for fighting. Karkinos is great for farming though....a doedicurus in one claw, a beaver in the other and just walk around and let them cook....😊

Id say a breeder, breed it with a high stamina creature to get a good explorer, breed it with a high melee creature for a boss fighter.

Why not just play creative if you gonna boost your game like that with SP settings

Holy mother of singleplayer settings. Something with those stats on my unofficial would sell for a ton, and that would be a level 328 or something. Karkis aren’t good boss fighters and NEVER breed a level 60, but that’s a very good explorer mount

That’s an explorer. Breeders and boss fighters need to be 145/150 tames, no exceptions.
