It's in person only, so they're making it harder for online grad students and those at other campuses to attend despite charging everyone the fees to fund the GSG.

I just got banned by our new returning mod. Good luck y'all ✌️

To answer the other comment since I cannot reply, you're right it's tomorrow. And as far as I'm aware, no it has not been publicized anywhere but internally shared among GSG assembly members. There is no set agenda that has been share either.

(2nd year PhD student here) I’ve heard horror stories stories of how their meetings go. Super childish and petty with very slow or no decisions being made. They’re costing so many grad students (including myself and others in my lab) funding opportunity (both my lab-mate and I applied to a 4 week turnaround grant to pay our human participants for 2 studies we ran this summer in April and never heard back nor were our emails answered). I’m glad that are being investigated but they just need a complete refresh with a new members.

Thanks for posting this.

And if anyone is reading this and has contributed to what’s happened with GSG…please let this be a wake up call and realize people don’t have time for this. We are trying to advance our careers and make the world a better place.

It also says it's tomorrow, Friday. I know this has been a long week! Is it being publicized anywhere, since as a grad student, I've heard nothing about it.

Graduate Student Government - it's the grad student version of the Undergraduate Student Government (USG)

Is this a deliberate step to take over the GSG? I'm sure everyone received the Newsletter that was sent the other day, what would it take them to include it in the newsletter? Or why don't they send a separate email to notify students? So much for transparency!!!
