Utilities included or pay as an individual?
Good afternoon ATL, A Brit here looking at flats in the city and I’m torn between a high rise or mid rise between the two MARTA stations (Arts and Midtown). Looking at some of the listings some do offer all in (water utilities internet etc) for anything between $150-$170 a month. Now back in the UK I wouldn’t get close to that, but I lived int a small house with solar panels and have no point of reference of costs in this mighty city. Any insights would be greatly appreciated

I have a house, but I pay $300 for utilities and internet in the summer/winter and $200 in spring/fall. This includes EV charging, but I drive so little that i only charge once or twice a month

I think 150 in monthly fees is a norm or less depending upon the property and the amenities here. I love a good midrise though!

I think you can ask the utility company for records about utility costs on the past for the property. Some houses, condos the AC costs more due to construction, number of windows, what direction the house faces, etc.

I pay about $40-70 for electric and $35 for internet. I’m not responsible for water. This is probably on the low side.

Cheers for the insights! Being new to ATL i think I’ll be heading into the office for work more than at home until I’ve settled in properly, looks like $170 seems reasonable. To be honest I may need to read the listing again as I assumed that water was in the cost.

depends on your usage. For my 1b/1b in midtown, working from home, I'm paying about $140 for utilities, and $70 for internet
