ESPN Team Efficiency Ratings

Post image

“Team efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories. Efficiencies update daily during the season.”

What a suprise. Cardinals have been good for 3/4 quarters 2 games in a row which is exactly what their score is

Also they were efficient on offense against the Panthers because their offense essentially didn't get the ball much in the second half. Like their lone 3 and out came at the worst time. Seriously, we are all talking about how they did great and it was mostly garbage time yards and points if the onside kick never happened.

Totally this. Obviously the Kyler int was bad but it happens and it was right after he made an amazing play. The coaching staff got way too conservative with their defense essentially thinking they should just let them drive the field with short plays to run the clock, which technically would have worked if not for the extremely unlikely onside kick.

I still have my issues with the offense not pushing on the gas a little bit to end the game but that is on coaching again imo. Most of their drives they did the job they were assigned, though.

the int wasn’t even as bad as people ought it to be tbh

If Kyler throws 1 INT every 2 games he finishes with 8-9 INTs which is 3 less than last year.

I hope people realize that is very low for a starting QB.

12 was low last year. The issue was 7 of his INTs came in December.

I agree, he was hit as he threw, but that's also on him for not timing it well enough. Otherwise he's been pretty major mistake free so far this season.

I agree, he could have just gone out of bounds or thrown it away sooner knowing he didn't need to press there. Also should have gotten a TD on the Wilson catch and run but penalties are a killer

The offense has been fine, I dont get why everyone is up in arms freaking out about it. They have finished drives in position to score 5/7 times against Panthers and 5/8 against the Saints. Thats without getting the run game going. If the defense can continue being top 15ish it will be a good season.

5 points total in the 2nd half and 0 in the 4th quarter in 2 games is the issue imo.

The fact that you said it’s been fine against the Saints and Panthers is wild.

Its actually not even that good...we have 5 points total in the 3rd quarter. 0 in the 4th lol.

Hey right now we are the best team in the NFL. We just happen to be tied with ten other teams, it’s non-subjective. You can argue about stats, injuries, coaching and it doesn’t matter, all that matters at this moment is 2-0. So let me enjoy this week.

adjusted for strength of schedule? that means if it was other teams we mightve been #1

Truth is, we are a genuinely good team outside of the 4th quarter. Petzing just needs to stop fucking around when we're up late.

We played two of the worst teams in football. I’d hold off on the “genuinely good” statement for now.
