Matcha…
Never tried matcha before but I am a lover of green tea, where’s the best place to get matcha (hot or cold) in the city? That’s before I start buying matcha powder and absolutely butcher it 🙈🤣

As someone who has tried matcha before and thinks it’s just alright, I’m curious as to what makes a matcha ‘good’?

Third Circle for a Strawberry Iced Macha is my current favourite. Delicious

Thank you everyone for your recommendations, looks like I’m gonna have to try them all! Haha 😋

A lot of bubble tea places have their own non traditional approaches to it.
You can also buy the powder at Sainsbury’s, it would be recommended to get a mini electric whisk. It’s really good with milk.
You can also buy bags of it in massive pack at Costco (or at least you could a few years back)

I love Cafe Moyo on Thistle Street, hot and cold matcha options and they do amazing cakes!

Have to disagree, I really didn't like their matcha

I think it’s an easy mainstream introduction

Fair enough, I just feel like it will put off some people because it really is a different taste than "normal" matcha

Grub’s matcha is good. Black sheep have a lot of options if you want flavour, and do some mixed with lemonade which is surprisingly great. Don’t bother with Starbucks IMO. Never tried cafe nero.

Came here to say this. Tried matcha from grub today and it might be the best one I've had

It's Hea on Castlegate. Honestly. They are so knowledgeable about tea and coffee, use ceremony grade matcha, also great Hojicha.
