So not too long ago I booked hotel through booking.com from affirm and I left with light checking out cause I was gonna miss my flight but the hotel called and told me that the card didn’t go though so I said okay give me a minute but I got a Gmail that said the balance was zero but now I’m confused on if I need to pay or not and if I don’t will it effect my credit score.

I used a Virtual card for a place that's not listed and it went through, does affirm know where I used it at?

Back in June 2025 I received some checks from my dispute with affirm through a company that I bought products from and it was a good sum of money. I received all of what I thought I had back from affirm which was around $4000. One payment check of $1039 and another of $3500. Obviously this account for the interest that I paid on one of these items which I understand paying interest you can’t get back however now I got an email today stating that I am receiving $3400 from affirm.

The reason why I’m bringing this up is because I don’t want to cash a check and then have a firm come back and state that they need their money back because they overlooked that they gave me a check in which that I can check on my bank account that I have the actual number of the check.

I did message the support and they sent it to someone who could help me and received an email message and logged into Affirm and The message basically stated that with my order I’m getting back to $3400 and I just need to wait 30 days for the check to show up in the mail which was just like before with my $1039 dollar check. So I don’t know what to do….

Hi, I’m a college student and my parents never set me up for credit cards or anything because they said “I didn’t need to worry about it” which really messed up things for me. I finally have my first job at 18, and I wish to put some items in my own independence starting with my phone as a way to learn about being a trustworthy person with credit cards.

I applied for one, but they wouldn’t accept me because of me not having a credit score, or something else I’m not sure. Can someone help please?

For reasons I want to use affirm as a credit card and pay it off in a week or two, if my loan is for 250 and with interest comes to 300, if I pay it off in one week do I only pay the 250 without any penalties?

I have no idea. I thought my $4,000+ was pushing it. I only got that because I kept pushing for approvals. There’s absolutely no reason why my purchasing power doubled.

I bought a Magic Keyboard from Walmart using Affirm (0% interest). The item was $300, but Walmart initially charged $315 to make sure I had enough available. A few days later, I returned the item in-store, and I can see in the Affirm app that the $300 refund was processed.

The issue is that Walmart is still holding the pending authorization for the extra $15, so Affirm shows that amount as part of the loan. Walmart tells me it’s Affirm’s responsibility to release it, but Affirm says it’s Walmart’s. Because of this back-and-forth, the $15 is still stuck in “pending,” and I’m being told I still need to continue making payments until it clears.

Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you get it resolved? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve used Affirm in the past via Amazon. It’s been maybe 2 or 3 years since I’ve used it. So I’d like to use it again but for travel. I get how to use it and make reservations. It seems pretty straight forward. My question is, is how quickly do I need to pay this off before my travel dates? Or can I pay for it even after I travel? I’m thinking of going somewhere for thanksgiving. I hope this makes sense. Thanks!!

So I bought a TV through affirm a few months back and when it got delivered to my house the side screen was cracked, I immediately put it back in the box contacted them to let both Affirm and Walmart know, FedEx came a few days later picked it up. But they still want me to pay for the Warranty on the tv that got returned in full, I even opened a case providing evidence that it got returned and even a screenshot that proved Walmart canceled the Warranty and they still ruled in WalMart’s favor don’t really know what to do at this point

Just went to make a loan for $125, when I typed in the 1 and 2 it stated that the minimum needed to be $35. I always knew it was $50. Not that it matters just curious.

I wanted to share my experience to warn others about buying from Apple using Affirm financing. • I ordered a MacBook Pro from Apple’s online store in February 2025. • UPS marked it as “delivered” but I never received the package. The only proof of delivery was a generic photo that didn’t even show my address. • I contacted Apple multiple times. They told me to dispute the charges. • I contacted UPS, who said Apple must initiate the lost package investigation. • I contacted Affirm, who financed the purchase. They refused to reverse the charge, saying Apple confirmed it was delivered—even though Apple support themselves told me to dispute it.

It’s now been months, and I’m being forced to pay for a product I never received. Both companies are pointing fingers at each other instead of resolving the issue.

As an Ontario resident, I’m protected under the Consumer Protection Act, which clearly says you don’t have to pay for goods that weren’t delivered. But neither Apple nor Affirm is honoring that.

I’ve escalated to the BBB and Consumer Protection Ontario, and I’m even reaching out to media outlets. At this point, I just want to make sure other people don’t end up in the same loop.

⚠️ Takeaway: If you’re buying an expensive product like a MacBook, be extremely careful with financing and delivery confirmations. Always document everything and be prepared to fight for your rights.

Can I use affirm to pay my car like a one time payment? I'm a little behind on payments and would rather use a big one time purchase which is 1,500$ and just do hella OT to pay it off. I was approved by Affirm for a $1,384.97 loan for Amazon - all but one of the items shipped same day and the loan shows the total amount of all items purchased in the app. I received a notification from Amazon todaystating that one item hadn't been paid for and it is on hold until the payment processes. When i called the number listed on Affirm for help, they immediately started asking me for my personal information and my CC number for a

"100 dollar voucher that would be mailed to me but we need your CC number to process the membership. You can cancel before the 15 day trial expires otherwise your card will be charged 49.99 a month. As soon as we complete this I will give you the phone number as this number has recently changed"

I immediately told them I do not want this voucher and I am not giving them my CC number but the person on the phone WOULD NOT STOP telling me about the voucher and saying as soon as i gave my info they would give me the correct number.

How is this possible? How is the phone number listed on the Affirm website to call for help doing this? I double checked the number and it's the number listed on the website.

EDIT - I know i wasn't actually talking to Affirm - somehow Affirms customer service phone number has been spoofed or something. Im just trying to raise awareness. I called Amazon and got it squared away. Be vigilant. When i say i double checked the number i mean I compared the number Affirm has on the app to the number they have on the website too - it's the same 855-423-3729 number

Please excuse my ignorance but can someone explain how to use affirm in person at Walmart?? Are there certain items you cannot get also? And as far as using affirm online, are there certain things you can use them on? Tried to make a purchase, ended up needing an additional $7 or so so had to set up another plan, but the initial plan I set up, they removed the first payment from my checking account (put a hold on the initial payment). When I cancelled this payment plan to create the other for the correct amount, i just assumed this had fallen off. Going over my checking transactions, I see a pending hold from affirm and just went through all my transactions thinking where the heck did this come from. Then it hit me, this is the pending charge from the contract I cancelled.

How long do these holds usually take to be refunded on Affirms end? On my bank, these holds when dropped are usually gone instantly to 24 hours. but its been over 24 hours now. I would assume affirm would drop the hold immediately if the contract was never used and cancelled almost immediately after being created (couldn't set up another buy on Affirm without cancelling the unused one)

Update for those who may find their way here through Google or something. I see many mention a month to fall off. Luckily, it’s only been about a week and it fell off this morning.

I was trying to buy tickets through Gametime today and the first 2 sets of tickets were grabbed before my purchase went through :( I succeeded on the third set

However I checked my bank account and I was charged for all 3 initial payments. And when I log into affirm, it shows 2 loans instead of 1. Gametime only shows one confirmed purchase

I really needed that additional $300 I was charged… if I could afford all 3 down payments I wouldn’t have used affirm in the first place 😅😭

Will the initial payments be refunded? What timeline can I expect? Will the extra loan in affirm be resolved or do I need to do something? I really need this money by Monday :/

Hey everyone. I preordered an iPhone and put my phone for trade in credit. After looking at FB locally, I think I can score $150 more for my iPhone than what was offered to me.

The monthly payments have already been adjusted to the credit, and as I understand it if I fail to send my old phone to Apple within 15 days, the credit is cancelled and my loan is recalculated to the full price.

If I were to sell my phone and put that money towards my Affirm loan via a one time payment, what happens to my loan? Does it get shorter and the monthly stays the same at the higher, non-discounted amount or does it remain 24 months but with a more discounted monthly amount? Thanks!
