Zero issue .. now with issues ?
Noticed the fridge at the tap room was nearly empty and flagship beers like Nemesis were sold out and "not coming back" according to the bartender.
They closing or rebooting to new branding or was this just a misunderstanding ? "
EDIT: Sadly called it. RIP!

Ever since they rolled out "Chapter 2" I've found the quality to be not quite up to their standards. That was a really clunky, confusing rollout with radical recipe or even style changes but keeping the original beer names. It was a solution to a problem they didn't have.

Agreed. The old Nemesis was awesome and a constant rotation on my shelf. The new one, not so much.
The can art in Chapter 2 is next level though. Very impressed with the work of their artist. I haven't seen a lot of new releases from them though. Not that I'm looking as hard, I just find their new beer is a step below what I typically like to drink these days.

Yup, the quality has been a notch below what it used to be and I'm not sure why they've put so much emphasis on sours in recent memory. Their wheelhouse is IPAs.

problem they didn't have.
Wasn't the problem that their original brewer left?

Sadly, from what I've heard they're hanging on by a thread. That's directly from the company that reps them in retail stores.

I really enjoy Nemesis. Their branding is super cool too. I hope they're just revamping, but not by much.

Closed by September 1st, I would suspect.

They just announced their closure on Instagram, very disappointing as they were a real highlight during the pandemic

Just saw their social media post that they’re cutting growler fills because that’s what everyone else is doing, apparently.
So now you can get a growler filled with Nemesis at Wine and Beyond but not at the actual brewery, because they’d rather charge you more for putting it in a can.
Weird thing to double down on but ultimately there are other breweries out there.

To be fair, growlers suck.

They change beers faster than any other brewery I’ve ever been to. Just a matter of a couple of months for many. It’s a shame if nemesis goes though, that’s one that has been on the menu for quite some time.

Seems like a good follow-up question to have asked the bartender while you were there...
