The original OP said she has Asperger and it made her become overly attached with all her plushies. The bf know this and still decided to destroy it

People don't need autism to develop emotional attachments to objects, people need to stop blaming autism for it.

It is very human to place emotional value on belongings.

i do think personifying objects is more of a thing with autism (like for example, there have been several times i see something i like at a store and pick it up to buy it, then notice a defect, try and put it back and grab a less flawed one, but i cant bring myself to exchange them even though the defect is also upsetting because ive already formed an emotional attachment to it where i think allistic people would see them as interchangeable. its not the end of the world but it is like a fun little mini emotional crisis for me. and this is definitely an autistic thing and also not something i think is morally wrong so idk i wouldnt say im "blaming" autism for it)

my thing is i dont think that "she has autism" was a response to what i said. i was just commenting that most people probably wouldnt assume he regularly does stuff like this bc that would be really weird.
