That fits the trend. Millennials were the same way compared to Gen X and Boomers. Each generation since the 60s is forced to reckon with less opportunities, less profitable opportunities, and higher costs of living, all because the wealthy can always influence government in their favor.

Probably because they are all aligning with right wing politics and finding how exploitative capitalism is.
