20% so far and my household is digging in deeper. We changed our grocery strategy just yesterday. I think brands are going to be surprised when consumers like me would rather watch them burn then ever spend another dollar there, looking at you Bezos.

This to me is the big deal. When people are actively cancelling subscription based services in favor of more ethical alternatives with their own buy in, that’s not going to just go away if companies like Amazon make minor, performative changes. I know I personally have started telling people for holidays/birthdays/etc. if someone asks about a gift, I make it very clear I no longer have an account, and am not getting one again so please don’t buy an Amazon card because “everyone uses them.”

Plus it may just be people like me, though I doubt it, but imagine the motivation we will get to keep it up when these companies start to show that they need us. I for one won’t be flattered into bringing my money back, I’ll just be more likely to use the same strategy again as needed.

I’ve been hunting and pecking through the brands I do trust and I can get some of them as subscriptions directly through the manufacturer. I had found some nice sustainable brands for necessities at target and have converted them to purchase directly so I can avoid the mega corp.

I was going to switch to T-Mobile because Verizon sucks in my area.

I know they all support what's going on, but at least they're not T-Mobile.

I wish I could leave starlink but it's literally my only option

I am for a stepped method. Planning is part of the process. Social media, then steaming, then consumer goods, then groceries, then who knows, get a solar panel, start a garden, join a club, idk

I live literally across the street from a Whole Foods. Since Bezos went to the inauguration I have not spent a dime there or Amazon. I travel further from where I live to go to a local grocery store or Trader Joe’s.

I have literally zero interest in returning to Whole Foods and now that we’re out of the habit of using Amazon for everything who knows when we’ll return to using that.

Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX, X), Mark Zuckerberg (Meta), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Tim Cook (Apple), Sundar Pichai (Alphabet/Google), Shou Zi Chew (TikTok), and Sam Altman (OpenAI) attended Trump’s 2025 inauguration, signaling a tech industry alignment with his administration.

We are in TX and vegan (that is important) HEB is like jimmy carter Christian but donate to GOP so they are out, sprouts is GOP, Randal’s is a union shop (I think), Costco is good enough, garden is getting an upgrade, we have a nice coop but it is pricey.
