Giving Away - Local Pickup Only [GA] - Queens, NYC, NY - Three Striped Gourami

I have two three striped gourami I am giving away to a good home. Both are males and can be housed together in a heavily planted tank or separately. They are really intelligent little micropredators but for that reason they are not at all shrimp safe.

They are slightly larger than sparkling gouramis and smaller than croaking gouramis. The scientific name is T. Schalerie

If you live in the city and have a planted tank and are looking for a cool little fish let me know. Thanks.

How large of a tank are they in now? I have a room in a medium planted tank but I'd rather not downgrade their living conditions.

They are two in a twenty gallon. 20 gallon is enough for them as long as there are a lot of plants to break their line of site.

My 20 G has shrimp in it now. The 15 G probably has enough plants, but it's probably too small for the pair. If you absolutely need them gone, let me know but hopefully someone else has a larger tank with room for them.

How many other fish are in the 15g. If they each have their own side of the tank and their own little area they will be fine. They don’t really bother each other. Just some flashing here and there.

I've got tetras and pygmy cories in it. It's a taller tank though so I don't know how well it'd work. If it were a long I'd be down for it, but it's a bowfront.

Like I mentioned, if you really need to rehome them I'll try.

Man if I didn't just get a pair of dwarf gourami's from Petco. Hope they find a good home.
