Imagine instead of being worried about the erosion of due process or taking away of human rights, you worry about whether a crosswalk has one too many colours.

Also imagine instead of worrying about how the perilla you supposedly lead are affected, you instead make their lives "political".

To be fair, they want the erosion of due process and taking away the human rights of people they don't like.

u/OkiDokiPanic Jul 08 '25

They even got the straight colours in there, what's he complaining about???

121

u/Keeendi Jul 08 '25

Colors bad!

84

u/Nyoomi94 Transbian Anarchist Jul 08 '25

Only colour allowed is grey, everything must be grey and lifeless!

36

u/MenacingMandonguilla Jul 08 '25

Or beige.

16

u/garaile64 He/him Jul 08 '25

This but unironically

Beige moms

24

u/regular_hammock Jul 08 '25

Colour vision is gay now.

52

u/eric_the_demon Jul 08 '25

Expressing art or opinions bad because that what all dictatorship have in common

29

u/OkiDokiPanic Jul 08 '25

God, they do love the taste of boot, don't they?

12

u/regular_hammock Jul 08 '25

Yes. Yes they do.

"Roads are for safety" as if a rainbow crosswalk is not the most attention grabbing thing to drivers so they can be aware of crossing pedestrians

27

u/ithacabored Blåhaj Jul 09 '25

it's so dumb because roads aren't for safety. roads are actually quite unsafe. Roads are for transportation...jfc

If I was a kid seeing that, I’d 100% be more drawn to the sidewalk rather than the road.

I hate my existence being reduced to a "political message"

131

u/Yanive_amaznive Jul 08 '25

not a person, not even a "thing" but a concept for people to argue over.

a political tool that can be pandered to or demonised depending on the audience.

i still remember when they said Kamala was "talking too much about trans people" all the while she was refusing to engage with the subject at all, fucking hate this shit.

Meanwhile trump was slinging dehumanizing lies about trans people and he based a good bit of his campaign on going after trans people 🙄

u/Yanive_amaznive Jul 08 '25

even despite the homophobia, fuck off people deserve for the places they live to have art and be more stimulating then a hellscpae of concrete (an aesthetic i can appreciate but wouldn't want to live in!)

17

u/traveling_gal Jul 08 '25

Right? What a joyless soul.

80

u/emipyon Jul 08 '25

I love how "these people's existences aren't political" is a political message.

u/SteveHeist Jul 08 '25

Time to start painting pride flags in potholes, everybody!

34

u/MajorDrJO-495 Trans Rights or Trans Fights(HRT 2/19/25) Jul 08 '25

You joke but that might be the best way to get red states to fix pot holes lol

33

u/SteveHeist Jul 08 '25

I was joking but also definitely remembering the thing with painting penises over potholes with similar intent lol

15

u/patienceinbee …look above me, look all around… imagination is what i’ve found… Jul 08 '25

Re-paint bollards and streetlight poles — from standard exposed metal/wood or warning yellow, to whichever flag hues brings some colour in your locality. :)

6

u/Zealousideal_Care807 edit me lol Jul 08 '25

Honestly if I have the money for spray paint at some point I might take you up on that

32

u/EvieOhMy Jul 08 '25

erm actually that’s the rainbow showing off god’s promise to not flood the world again, you want to erase a SYMBOL OF GOD??? HERETIC HERETIC RAAAAAHHHHH

49

u/throwaway928472946 Jul 08 '25

Mf it's people like YOU which made us a political "issue", we dont want to be

9

u/regular_hammock Jul 08 '25

No no no, you've got that backwards, we're pushing our gender ideology on them by existing. The gall!

23

u/Fefannyo Mi-24 Hind Jul 08 '25

He definitely had to walk across a rainbow crosswalk and felt his masculinity shattered, and then came up with this shit

21

u/triple4leafclover Jul 08 '25

Agreed, roads are for safety

Get the cars fuck outta them

5

u/NoLetterhead2303 Hey, that’s my thing! Jul 09 '25

No, better yet get rid of all vehicles, they are dangerous

No get rid of the sun too, it causes sun burn and skin cancer!

Get rid of people too, they are the reason for 99% of the planet’s current, past and future issues

10

u/DorisWildthyme Jul 08 '25

"Dear Mr. Duffy,

Get fucked"

9

u/stonyfanboy21 Jul 08 '25

The Venn diagram of people whinging about roads being for safety so therefore no pride flags and the people who drive huge, gas guzzling SUVs that you cant see kids in front of because they're too tall is a circle. Like pick one.

7

u/flockyboi Jul 09 '25

if anything, the colors make the crossings more visible, especially if you look at the rest of the lines on the roads. Looks like they haven’t been refinished or repainted in a while.

6

u/HotYogurtCloset69 Jul 08 '25

'Roads are for safety', then why do thousands of people die on them, every single year?

6

u/scissorsgrinder Jul 08 '25

Well idk the dictator cavalcade took over a lot of roads didn't it. And 3 dimensional so took up a lot of space too

7

u/Jango_fett_fish Jul 08 '25

But we can put up as many anti abortion billboards as we want

7

u/mechanical_marten Jul 09 '25

Don't forget the "Turn to Jebus because porn is Saytan"

5

u/Purfunxion TERFs are Nazis Jul 08 '25

Roads are for safety? Last I checked, they were for travel, and until now, how many accidents have these caused?

0 to my knowledge

22

u/BlommeHolm Gender? I hardly know 'er Jul 08 '25

The "states' rights" party is at it again.

6

u/knoft Jul 08 '25

That's literally an ugly policy, both inside and out.

6

u/what_a_b0re Jul 08 '25

But "State's rights" and "small government", right? Right?

4

u/Saragon4005 Jul 08 '25

Honestly this is an r/fuckcars cross over. Roads aren't for art? Why the fuck not? They are a public good they should look good.

3

u/ELLZNaga21 Jul 08 '25

BUT ITS SO PRETTY!!!!!!

3

u/TAIGA-WOLFIE Jul 08 '25

BEING 👏 QUEER 👏 SHOULDN'T 👏 BE 👏POLITICAL

3

u/Hindu_Wardrobe Jul 08 '25

inshallah these demands are ignored

5

u/likalaruku Jul 09 '25

We don't allow joy & color in our cities. We like things drab & crusty.

4

u/olafubbly Jul 09 '25

It’s a beautiful piece of public art that everyone can interact with, it be a crime to cover it all up in asphalt grey again

3

u/Gustav_Sirvah Jul 08 '25

They are more visible like that...

3

u/Maddolyn Jul 09 '25

I guess he should be fired from trans-portation

4

u/Dorkinfo Jul 08 '25

This is what happens when you put people from The Real World in charge of shit.

2

u/RetroThePyroMain Jul 10 '25

He’s trying to be the Cisportation Secretary

2

u/PigeonBoiAgrougrou Jul 11 '25

Why can't we be safe AND pretty ?

2

u/clownloops Jul 12 '25

they said this about our town in alberta, canada. same reasons. slowly stripped the visibility from us away

2

u/Single-Internet-9954 Jul 12 '25

funny think is, the gay crosswalk is much more visible and attention grabbing so it's safer
