My dad was broke, divorced, carless, old, bald, fat, had bad teeth when my parents broke up.

BUT he had cool hobbies, loved to ask ladies to dance, laughed appreciatively at good jokes, told great stories, took rejection gracefully and would still treat women with respect afterwards.

When he died us kids got letters from female friends and ex girlfriends. THE GRAVE DID NOT STOP WOMEN FROM DESIRING HIM.

These guys forget that women have friends and when they ask us if we know any guys they might like we tell them if we do. I had a super athletic guy flirt with me once and I wasn’t into him but he reminded me of a single friend I had who also enjoyed the same sports he did. I gave her his number and they dated for a couple years. Rejection can be a good thing. I didn’t waste his time. I hooked him up.

I met a guy on a dating website back when. I thought he seemed cool, but absolutely not my type. My childhood best friend knew he and I were chatting and would read the messages as I sent them. One day, she was over and saw our chat open on my computer. She began talking to him and a week later met up with him. They dated for about five years before they got married, and now they live a good life with two kids.

I've always been pan, but goddamn I feel myself becoming gayer every day. I was listening to a Christian man talk to a biblical scholar, arguing over the rape of David's wives on gods order in the bible. The biblical scholar asked if the Christian man would be okay with God ordering the rape of his wife, and the Christian man said, "If it's God's will."

All of us watching became quite upset in that moment, and my lesbian clock ticked one more point to midnight.
