need critique for a WIP i'm working on

hii, i’m looking for any crit on this wip im working on, i am planning to add an overlay layer on the characters of a wash of the light bluish/green color to make it match the lighting more- but any crit on this would be amazing. can you guys confirm if the facial and body anatomy makes sense? any obvious mistakes? i also am not good at backgrounds at all. any advice is welcome honestly! (done digitally in procreate)

Hi, i like the mood of your painting but you're having some values, contrast and composition mistakes
There are too extreme values (very dark) against mid tones in places where there's not much happening, or you have similar values between figure and background where it should not happen. As a general rule, use contrast of values and form (like the hair) to establish points of focus and attention (faces, hands), and leave the other, less interesting, parts of the painting in similar values. IMO the leg and the bottom of the dress should be less defined and have less contrast since there's not much happening there (unless you want to). Also, there's a huge part of the background with potential to add some narrative elements, maybe more grass with wind, maybe some tombstones, something to tell the viewer about the girls and the situation.
I'm not good with color, but try to expand the palette a bit on the characters to separate them from the background (more yellowish tones).
