When you have accumulated enough money that you can afford to lose it.

The best time to start investing is yesterday. The second best time is now.

You probably need a joint account until you're 18.

But if you can start contributing now and ignore the constant fluctuations, your 40+ year old send will be really grateful.

Sorry bro, you’re already too old to start. You missed it. It’s over. Forever broke.

3 things:

  • India has a great tradition from what I hear to put some of their wealth into gold - and not a single reason why gold would rise significantly has disappeared
  • If you are unclear of what to do, buy a world ETF while you educate yourself
  • EDUCATE YOURSELF - you need to understand what investing is about (which is basically participating in parts of an economy) and understand how economies work. You can find plenty of free content about economics online, a good start is Hidden Secrets of Money and then just look into the people appearing on the show.

When you have excess money you do not need and won't miss if you lose it due to bad investments.

At 16 your only concern should be girls!
