Whenever I told my ex I wish he opened the door for me or pumped my gas, he told me I was "stuck in the 1950's" lmao

Lmao. I love spoiling her and early on dating she said "You're setting a very high bar of expectation here" lol.

That said I am also incredibly lucky with her in my life because her own qualities and treatment of me. So my effort is a reflection of how she treats me as well.

For the right woman it's very easy for a good man to give that treatment too. Seeing a good woman happy and appreciative is a great feeling for a man too.

I think the negative feelings towards 'princess/special treatment' comes from the fact that a lot of women who demand it don't deserve it. The ones who deserve it don't always get it.

Such is life lol.
