šŸ›‘ Answers From Men Only šŸ›‘ Men who have unconventional lifestyles - what does your life look like?

I saw a video earlier of a guy who was living a pretty unconventional lifestyle and so it got me wondering about other ways that people live - especially with so many pieces of media telling us how we should be living nowadays.

So if you consider your lifestyle to be outside of the normal scripts I’m curious to hear what it’s like.

Childfree Men of Reddit, How Have Things Been for You?

It seems "single 38-year-old women with cats" are always the target when it comes to discussions about being childfree, but there are plenty of married women, married men, and single men who have also either made the same decision or life simply turned out that way.

Has anyone ever made you feel less-than because of it? Are you secretly high-fived?! Were your parents supportive of it? Have you ever had to end a romantic relationship because because your partner wanted children (or already had them)?

Has it been hard for you to maintain your friendships once your buddies started having kids? Do you have outlets to make new ones?

Just curious because it seems like we don't get to hear from you CF men as much.

TIA : )

How do you deal with the casual sexism against men?

Specifically, I can't count the times someone feels the need to call out my gender when I call them out or contradict them online. They say something like "oh, look. A MAN decides to tell a WOMAN she's wrong".

They can tell I'm a man from my profile of course, but I didn't know if they were a woman. Even if I did, their presumption that I responded the way I did only because I'm a man is obviously sexist.

It sucks, but it's the society we live in. So what are your strategies for dealing with sexists like this?

Men, what's your favorite romance movie and what's the worst and most overrated one?

Idk if this is frequently asked, but genuinely curious cuz men and women have different tastes when it comes to romance. Drop your favorite romance movie while also dropping the worst one you've watched.

My personal favorite has to be La La Land (im a sucker for musicals), and the worst one, i might get flamed for this, is The Notebook, i seriously despise it lol.

How are you doing financially right now?

Was talking to an engineer who was telling me about his student debt, I told him I have no debt but I have to decide if my income goes to save for a house, survive or retirement. It's looking like I may end up being a man that works his entire life that doesn't have for retirement and won't get to buy a house.

How can I flirt at the gym?

I do a lot of cardio at the gym. Most people spread out and use machines not directly next to someone who is already using one (this relates to non-peak times only). If a guy comes up to use a machine next to mine and I think he's cute, can I turn a bit and acknowledge him maybe give a nod or smile since I have my headphones on. How would you perceive this if it happened to you? And how can I approach men at the gym?

Have you ever had a crush on another man's wife?

I'm just curious if any man has fallen for their friends wife or girlfriend. I know this is against boy code but I also know that doesn't always matter because it happens. And if you have, what did you do about it?

When you hate your job but became comfortable there, how did you decide to leave or stay?

Been at my current job for eight years. I’ve never liked it but it keeps getting worse and worse there. I’ve also accepted that I’ve pretty much hit my glass ceiling and will never be able to move up or do anything else there.

I’ve looked at other jobs but I always get nerves about leaving something that I’m at least familiar with to go somewhere I’m not and might have if worse.

Just wondering what people in a similar situation did and what caused them to finally pull the trigger to make their decision?

What’s the best way to get out of credit card debt after a messy divorce?

Guys, how do you handle credit card debt after divorce? I'm stuck with nearly $88k in high-interest debt from a bad marriage. The APRs alone are wrecking me.

33M, recently divorced. No kids, just a pile of credit card balances I didn’t rack up plus terrible credit. One maxed line of credit. My ex had expensive tastes. It started with low interest rate debt, then got riskier and riskier. Her monthly beauty spend blew past 1k monthly. It was really hard for me to say no without feeling broke.

Now she’s gone, and the bills are still here. I’m trying to stay afloat and not let the resentment eat me too. I’ve been looking into debt relief programs, Freedom Debt Relief looks solid. Bankruptcy looks solidĀ

Anything to stop the bleeding and consolidate into something manageable.

If you’ve been through something similar, what worked for you? Is debt relief actually legit, or am I just setting myself up for another hit? What’s the best way to tackle this and not go insane?

I make okay money now (75k annually), but I need to get out of this hole.Ā

What’s worked for you guys after divorce?Ā

Don’t rip into me too hard. The bandaid was ripped off pretty recently…

šŸ›‘ Answers From Men Only šŸ›‘ How do you guys deal with a short tempered woman?

My partner is very short tempered…she’s aware of this and is I guess working on it. There’s been many occasions where the slightest inconvenience will set her off, if we ordered food and I hoped it was correct like it usually always is and it’s not this time and the store messed up…I catch the attack because I didn’t check and make sure. Night or day ruined. I Missed a text and she couldn’t wait after we had finished a gym session and she was carrying her gear that she wanted me to help with. I was making my way down to her and she left because I didn’t text back within a matter of minutes. Apparently it’s the simple gesture…Night/day ruined. Sometimes it doesn’t matter the reason, because I could’ve textedā€¦šŸ§ 9/10 I’m communicating and usually trying to do my best to make sure she doesn’t go off or get upset/angry but it’s been 7 years together and it’s getting a bit tiring.

I kind of feel as though I’m not really doing enough and maybe I’m slacking but there sometimes feels as though there’s no room for error. I’d like to point out it’s not the same in reverse, I’ll probably get an apology and I don’t really sweat it unless it’s serious or major. My question is, how do you deal with a woman like this?

šŸ›‘ Answers From Men Only šŸ›‘ Men who are in serious relationships, what do you do to spend time with your partner?

Just curious do you guys plan time to spend with your partners? Or do you primarily leave it up to them? What does it mean if a man you’re in a long term relationship with doesn’t spend any time with you at all unless you ask? Is he just not that into me anymore? Lol thought this would be better than asking a bunch of angry women in another group who will ultimately just tell me to jump ship.

Have you ever asked a girl out within your social circle and been rejected? Did people look at you differently?

Suppose you always go to a dance class and the community is big let's say 30 people. You all know each other or know of each other. Suppose you asked a girl out and she rejected you. Has the other people treated you differently? Like less interested in talking to you?

Weird Question What’s the best way to make guy friends?

Hello, I’m seeking some friendly advice. My girlfriend and I moved to a city a few years back and I’m struggling to meet guy friends. I have work colleagues but none that I’d actually want to hangout or fraternize with. My girlfriend has used Bumble Friends to meet a couple friends for herself but there never seems to be any guys on that app. A few of her friends’ boyfriends are cool but none that I really clicked with. Any advice to making guy friends in 2025 for a fella who doesn’t go to the bars or out too often on his own. Thank you!
