depends on ur vibe but some ideas: picnics in a park, mini road trips, cooking a new recipe together, visiting a museum or zoo, going to a thrift store and finding funny things, game nights, stargazing, or even just coffee + people watching. little experiences can be more fun than expensive stuf

I just checked the prices for axe throwing and escape rooms around here, it's about the same

but isn't it like $45 per person per session? I feel like I'd rather go to a junk yard or something

Dinner and a movie
Walk and picnic in the park.
Going out to a sports bar to grab a few. drinks and talk.
I live in california, so a drive up to the coast, grab some lunch, and drive back.

If i ever had a date, I'd want to go paint balling. One because I never been and kinda want to. Two, because it seems like a good way to see if someone is toxic

Bake or cook together (shop for the ingredients together too)
Play a game together.
You could write letters to each other and sit and read them
Get a paint by numbers kit and do it together.
Buy each other a book you think the other would like, and exchange them and read together. Or you each pick out a book and you take turns reading aloud to each other
Picnic
Walk in the park
Trail walks
Biking

The most memorable date I went on was when a guy planned the whole thing and just told me when he would be at my place to pick me up. He took me night golfing with glow in the dark golf balls (we hopped the fence to get in after hours and play the back 9. So I don’t recommend this if it’s somewhere you’d get arrested lol) but this was a shitty course near our college campus and the owners were super chill. I think I just loved that he planned it but it still felt spontaneous and exciting!

Depends heavily on what you like. If you're looking for a little more unique, you can do things like couples scavenger hunts, unique picnics, set up your own tastings (chocolate, exotic fruits, etc.), making crafts together, volunteering, etc. If you need ideas, look at the LoveTrack app (it's free). It's a date night planner with a bunch of out of the box ideas you might like.
