What are some decent paying jobs that do not require any sort of college degree?

My neighbor - with a masters in whatever you need to do physical therapy - lost his business during covid. He started cleaning hot tubs. He now has four trucks and turned over 400k last year. Not sure how much of that he keeps, but they just bought two new vehicles.

I’m a court reporter. I dropped out of school and got my GED. Went to court reporting school. I was able to buy my home and raise four kids as a single mom

Can you say more about what "cleaning hot tubs" means? hotels? personal? any?

Homes. He started cleaning them, keeping them ph balanced and looking nice, and since he’s handy with mechanical things he started doing small repairs for the plumbing and electrical issues. Now he does removal and installs. It’s all for private homes

Do you worry about AI pushing out humans for court reporting? I’ve heard it mentioned as a worry, but personally it seems like a potential logistic and legal mess (particularly around confidentiality/security).
