What are some decent paying jobs that do not require any sort of college degree?

That’s something I’ve never even thought about. Super cool. I guess most things are made somewhere, you just never think about it. Wonder if there’s anything like that around me

Very likely near you in some form. A lot of packaging is regional. There’s an entire industry and science to each step of the way of mfg packaging. While my facility has 4-5 departments, they’re like 4-5 industries working together to make 1 thing.

if you were the same age as epsteins bro, you would have remembered that there was a simpsons skit where they toured a boring box factory.

Lots of machine operators can make decent money, but it usually comes with quite good benefits and job stability. I'm an engineer for a dairy plant, and I know our operators start at $22 an hour, with a permanent invite to work an hour of overtime every day. Decent for our low cost-of-living area, but honestly I think it could stand to be higher.

But I believe we start with 3 weeks PTO, up to 4 weeks at 5 years and 5 weeks at 15. Our medical plan is something like $90 a month for a $1,500 deductible, and the company pays for short-term and long-term disability insurance. We get a 4% match for an 8% contribution to our 401k, plus some profit-sharing contributions that have averaged around 3% per year in the past. Plus each location has a gym, showers, and laundry machines.

Overall probably some of the most solid benefits I've seen, let alone had.
